Turn It Up
Wanessa Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The night is found
I work hard for another day
It's time to celebrate
I wouldn't want it another way
And I live my life like
I've got one day
So DJ won't you play my favorite song?
'Cause I'm gonna turn it up now
Turn it up like I've got one day!
I'm gonna turn it up now
Everybody let me hear you say
I'm gonna turn it up, up up, up up up!
I'm gonna turn it up, up up, up up up!
A 100k on my pockets
I'm taking off like a rocket
If Soulja said let's get it started
I'm always going retarded
They know, my swag is so cool
Me and Wanessa we roll
A red Bentley and range rolls sitting in twenty inch folls
Go on open the party
A pa pa pa party, they're goin' retarded
A Soulja Boy party is a Soulja Boy party
I'm turned
I'm turned up, I'm turned up
Turn it up to the maximum!
It feels right to be alive
Let it go and dance the night away
Just Love and celebrate
I wouldn't want it any other way
And I live my life
Like I've got One day
If tonight is it then I'll be okay
So DJ won't you play my favorite song?
'Cause I'm gonna turn it up now
Turn it up like I've got one day!
I'm gonna turn it up now
Everybody let me hear you say
I'm gonna turn it up, up up, up!
Gonna turn it up, up, up, up!
Turned up to the max
I walk in the club wit them Rex
It's Soulja tell em
I get splashed
Rollex on my wrist
Ridin' round the candy paint
Bentley Wanessa we swagged out on the regular
In the club and I'm turned up
Four wheel all in Brazil this just how it is
Young Soulja worth thirty mil I'm turned
I'm turned up, I'm turned up
Turn it up to the maximum
The lyrics of Wanessa's song Turn It Up suggest that the singer believes in living life to the fullest and celebrating every moment. She is ready to party all night and let go of all the worries and dance away. As she says, "I live my life like I've got one day, If tonight is it, then I'll be okay." She doesn't want to live with any regrets and wants to make the most of every moment. She asks the DJ to play her favorite song and turn up the music so she can dance with all her heart.
The party atmosphere is further emphasized in the second verse where Soulja Boy talks about being flashy and riding in his Bentley with Wanessa. They love to party and make any event an unforgettable one. They let loose and have fun, not caring about anyone's judgment. The reference to "getting splashed" and "riding round the candy paint" referring to the shiny and colorful paintwork of a car, makes it sound like they are flashing their wealth around. The idea is that they love to party and no matter where they go, they want to be so turned up that everyone would join in the fun.
