She was also the spokesperson for various different brands, such as Maybelline, and several products based on her image targeting young girls (dolls, shoes, make-up) were released.
Currently, besides being a singer, Wanessa is also the ambassadress in the non-governamental organization SOS Mata Atlântica, which defends the preservation of the Atlantic Forest. Due to her hard work in promoting the NGO and its goals, and also working for the depollution of the Tietê river, in São Paulo, Wanessa was awarded in 2007 with the Pro-Social Award from Brazil's Nickelodeon channel, and later received the Personality of the Year title from the Cisesp.
Wanessa was the first Brazilian female singer to have her first two singles reach #1 in Brazil. She has also performed a duet on television with Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti during one of his promotional trips to Brazil, and her newest album Total features a duet with another Italian singer, Gigi D'Alessio, in the song Um Coração Apaixonado (Un Cuore Malato), also included in D'Alessio's Made In Italy Brazilian album edition.
After marrying the businessman Marcus Buaiz on May 26th., Wanessa kept working on her new album with Nashville producer Jason Deere and Miami producer Cesar Lemos. After many delays due to the record company, her new album, Total, was released on August 25, 2007. Its first single, Não Tô Pronta Pra Perdoar, is a version of Dixie Chicks' 2007 Grammy Award-winning song Not Ready To Make Nice, authorized by the own trio.
In March, 2008, Wanessa went to Miami to record a musical partnership with Mexican trio Camila, in a special rendition of Camila's 2006 hit song Abrázame. The partnership was included in both Camila's Todo Cambió album in its Brazilian edition and in Wanessa's Total re-release.
In April, 2008, the singer started her new national tour, named after her sixth album. Wanessa recently announced that she will begin working on her next album in December, and that she will also promote this next album in Mexico.[1] The album, scheduled to April, 2009, includes a new song featuring American rapper Ja Rule in two different versions, with Camargo singing in Portuguese in the version named "Meu Momento" and singing in English in the version named "Fly".[2] "Fly" was released as a single in Brazil in April, with "Meu Momento" added to her album as a bonus track; no word has surfaced yet about whether Ja Rule intends or not to release "Fly" in the U.S.

Tudo que não te falei
Acreditei que era pelo meu bem
E pelo seu também
Não sou perfeita, nem nunca fui
Me machuquei por várias vezes só pra te alcançar, ah-ah
Errei por te lugar nesse lugar
Tudo bem se não for sempre forte
Meu herói que só precisa ser real
Tudo bem você ficar sem norte
Sempre te ouvi falar, filha, pode chorar
Tudo bem se não for sempre forte
Meu herói que só precisa ser real
Tudo bem você ficar sem norte
Sempre te ouvi falar, filha, pode chorar
Nunca te vi chorar
Nunca te vi chorar
Pai, nunca te vi chorar
Não sou perfeita, nem nunca fui
Me machuquei por várias vezes só pra te alcançar, ah-ah
Errei por te lugar nesse lugar
Tudo bem se não for sempre forte
Meu herói que só precisa ser real
Tudo bem você ficar sem norte
Sempre te ouvi falar, filha, pode chorar
Tudo bem se não for sempre forte
Meu herói que só precisa ser real
Tudo bem você ficar sem norte
Sempre te ouvi falar, filha, pode chorar
Nunca te vi chorar
Nunca te vi chorar
Pai, nunca te vi chorar
Olha nos meus olhos
Enxerga quem eu realmente sou
Imperfeita, você me aceita, ah-ah
Senta do meu lado
Hoje sei que isso é o amor
Imperfeito, eu te aceito
Tudo bem se não for sempre forte
Meu herói que só precisa ser real
Tudo bem você ficar sem norte
Sempre te ouvi falar, filha, pode chorar
Tudo bem se não for sempre forte
Meu herói que só precisa ser real
Tudo bem você ficar sem norte
Sempre te ouvi falar, filha, pode chorar
Nunca te vi chorar
Nunca te vi chorar
Pai, nunca te vi chorar
Nunca te vi chorar
The lyrics of Wanessa Camargo's song, "Amor Amor," speak about a daughter writing a letter to her father to express all the things that she never said to him before. It is about the daughter's realization that she is imperfect and has made mistakes in trying to reach out to him, all for the sake of their love for each other. She is telling her father that it is okay to not always be strong, to feel lost and vulnerable, and to cry if he needs to. The daughter acknowledges that she has never seen her father cry, and this realization shows that it is time to let go of the barriers and walls that have been keeping them apart.
The song's lyrics are a reflection of the common fence that exists between father and daughter relationships, where the father is often seen as the strong protector who doesn't show his emotions. In this song, the daughter expresses to her father that she accepts him for who he is, with his flaws and imperfections, and she is hoping that he can do the same for her. The daughter acknowledges that there may have been times that she hurt him in trying to reach out to him, but she hopes that he can forgive her and accept her for who she is.
