I Am Elite
War Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You are nothing but worms
A mightier than any God
A preacher than any man
I am elite
A louder than an atom bomb
Niggers and kikes stay away
I am elite
A stronger than a power of universe
More insane than a serial killer
A wiser than all of you together
More evil than fires of hell
I am elite
The lyrics to War's song I Am Elite are undoubtedly controversial and divisive, with the singer expressing a sense of superiority and contempt towards certain groups of people. The opening lines convey a clear message: those who are not part of the "superior race" are nothing but "worms," inferior and unworthy. The song then moves on to assert the singer's own superiority on a number of levels, describing themselves as mightier than any God or preacher, harder than a diamond, louder than an atom bomb, and so on, with each line intended to emphasize their dominance and superiority.
Perhaps the most striking elements of the lyrics are the overtly racist and anti-Semitic comments, with the singer stating that "niggers and kikes stay away" to further establish their sense of superiority. The lines that follow only serve to reinforce this message, with the singer describing themselves as stronger than the power of the universe and more evil than the fires of hell. At its core, the song is a celebration of individual power, with the singer positioning themselves as the ultimate authority in their own life.
