To keep my fire a-burnin'
You got the power
To keep my wheels a-turnin'
You keep me hot, don't stop
Give me what you got, oh yeah
Turn on the juice, turn loose
You got the power
To keep my fire a-burnin'(burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up)
You got the power
To keep my wheels a-turnin'
You put the strain on the brain
Girl, I'm goin' insane, oh yeah
You turn me out, make me shout
What's it all about?
Turn me out, make me shout
You got the power
To keep my fire a-burnin'(burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up)
You got the power
To keep my wheels a-turnin'
And now tonight hold me tight
Feel like dynamite, oh yeah
You make me sweat, soakin' wet
Ain't through nothin' yet
You got the power
To keep my fire a-burnin'(burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up)
You got the power
To keep my wheels a-turnin'
I feel the rush when we touch
Never get enough, oh no
Save the best, don't go for less
Got to make it last all night, all right
You got the power
To keep my fire a-burnin' (burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up)
You got the power
To keep my wheels a-turnin'
You got the power
To keep my fire a-burnin'(burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up)
You got the power
To keep my wheels a-turnin'
You got the power
To keep my fire a-burnin'(burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up, burnin' up)
You got the power
The lyrics of War's song You Got The Power speak of a powerful attraction between two people, with the woman having the ability to keep the man's fire burning and his wheels turning. The lyrics suggest that this woman provides a source of energy and motivation to the man, keeping him engaged and focused on her. She is described as being able to turn on the juice and loosen him up, with the man feeling like he's going insane from the strain on his brain. Despite this, he finds that he can't get enough of her and wants to save the best for last, making the night last all night long.
The song is largely about the power of sexual attraction and passion in a relationship, with the man being completely consumed by the woman's energy and charisma. The lyrics suggest that this attraction is a source of mutual pleasure and satisfaction, with the man feeling like dynamite and never being able to get enough of the woman's touch.
