1) Warlord is one of those little known bands who should have earned much more fame. Their first album "Deliver us" was published in the early '80s (1983) and it was enough, along with "And The Cannons Of Destruction Have Begun" that followed with only few more new songs, to make them a historical metal band of the early US power metal scene. The style is progressive, melodic heavy metal of exceptional inspiration and great musical talent. Standout tracks are "Winter Tears", "Child of the Damned", "Black Mass", and the monumental "Lucifer's Hammer". The vocals are very melodic which contrasts with the heavy rythym and guitar riffs. Guitar playing is very solid with technical solos. Songs are well constructed and carry a deep, strong feeling. It is a shame that they never really got the attention that they deserved. Nevertheless, their drummer, Thunder Child, made a great career-he is actually, Mark Zonder of Fates Warning. Metal fans who appreciate epic and early power scene should not miss them!
Recently, in the year 2002, Destroyer (guitarist W.Tsamis) returned with M.Zonder (drums, of course) and J.Cans (vocals) and published Warlord's "Rising Out From The Ashes". And the legendary Warlord proved again the dark power of epic metal...
2) Warlord came along in the mid to late 90's and only had two releases on Solid State Records. The first was a self titled EP containing four songs released in 1997.
The second was titled Rock The Foe Hammer and was released in 1999. They broke up shortly after the second release. Their musical style has been labeled as "doomcore".
3) Warlord is a Finnish chiptune/demoscene/metalscene artist Warlord (1997->).
4) Warlord were active in the 1970's. They were from the UK, and they played heavy doom metal with progressive and psychedelic elements. Their only official release is a self-titled compilation album from 2002.
5) Warlord is a rapper from the West Coast and rode with Death Row Records

Sons of a Dream
Warlord Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We are the fools, we are the free, we are Sons of a Dream.
I dream about a season
I sleep inside a place where I am free - and wandering.
I roam the deepest canyons
I soar the highest skies that I might see - my fantasies.
I am the one who forsees
I pray the world will remember, some day the world will believe . . .
I live inside your reason
I breathe your thoughts, I speak what's not to be - reality.
I'm free, yet I'm in prison
I'm tame but cannot fly with broken wings - my fate will be.
I am the seed of a vision
I am the one who forsees
I pray the world will remember, some day the world will believe . . .
We are the pen, we are the mind, we are keepers of the light,
We are the fools, we are the free, we are Sons of a Dream.
We are the pen, we are the mind, we are keepers of the light,
We are the fools, we are the free, we are Sons of a Dream.
The song "Sons of a Dream" by Warlord is a powerful anthem about the power of imagination and the human spirit to break free of the constraints that bind us in our everyday life. The lyrics convey a strong message about the importance of holding on to our dreams and using them to inspire and motivate us through life's challenges.
The opening lines "We are the pen, we are the mind, we are keepers of the light" suggest that the power to dream and create comes from within us. We are the ones who have the ability to shape our own destiny and determine our own path in life. The reference to "keepers of the light" suggests that our dreams can guide and illuminate us even in the darkest of times.
The chorus "We are the fools, we are the free, we are Sons of a Dream" reinforces the idea that those who dare to dream and pursue their passions are often seen as foolish or misguided, but ultimately they are the ones who are truly free. The reference to "Sons of a Dream" suggests that this pursuit of a dream is a shared experience that unites us all.
The verse "I am the seed of a vision, I am the one who foresees" speaks to the idea that our dreams are the beginning of something greater. The dreams we have within us are the seeds of future possibilities and the visions of what could be. The lines "I pray the world will remember, some day the world will believe" convey a sense of hope and determination that these dreams will one day become reality.

This is actually a re-recording of an instrumental from the 1981 Warlord rehearsal tape/ demo. On there it was called "All for One." Like all these instrumentals, I'm not sure if vocals really add anything, but no better way to go than a Cans choir.
