1) Warning was a doom metal band formed in Harlow, Essex, England, UK, formed in 1994 by Patrick Walker and Stuart Springthorpe. They were notable for their slow, progressive, melodic, heavy and doom-laden sound; the idiosyncratic and poignant vocals of Patrick Walker; and his introspective, darkly confessional lyrical themes.
The band released two demo tapes, Revelation Looms in February 1996 and Blessed by the Sabbath in March 1997 which led them to gain underground metal press attention and label interest. Warning's debut album The Strength to Dream was released in 1999 via The Miskatonic Foundation (owned and run by Richard M. Walker of Solstice). With this album Warning gained a cult status within doom metal circles, but they soon disbanded after their 2001 European tour with Jack Frost. They regrouped in 2004 to write new songs and to perform at The Doom Shall Rise festival (Germany) in 2005, and released a second album Watching From a Distance (also via The Miskatonic Foundation) in 2006 to wide acclaim.
Both albums were re-issued on CD in 2008 by the label Cyclone Empire, The Strength to Dream being re-packaged in new sleeve artwork. Similarly the albums were released by the Metal Supremacy label as gatefold double-vinyl editions limited to 500 copies each, 125 of each pressed on coloured vinyl.
In 2008 Stuart Springthorpe left the band due to family and work commitments but continues to teach drums and perform. Patrick Walker decided to discontinue the band in January 2009 and continues to write and record music with his new band, 40 Watt Sun.
2) Warning was an electro / synth rock duo from Hamburg, Germany, formed by Ed Vanguard (Edgar Schlepper) and Mike Yonder (Hans Müller). The group was active between 1982-1983, and had a one-hit-wonder with a song from the episode "Peggy Hat Angst" from the German TV Series "Tatort".

The lyrics of Warning's song Star tell the story of a young girl who came from a difficult background and was propelled by her desire for fame and glory to become a rock star. She was guided by her love for music and the energy of hope that she gave to the hearts of her fans through her guitar. Despite the challenges she faced along the way, including encounters with sharks and losers, she persevered and went on to become a star in the rock scene - the heroine of future stars. Her ultimate dream was to be a rock 'n' roll star.
As she rose to fame, the young girl was thrust into the spotlight and became a sex symbol of sorts - coveted by fans from Paris to Tokyo. She was featured in magazines, graced platinum records, and was even the subject of wild fantasies. But the path to success was not without its pitfalls. She struggled with drugs and had many close calls with suicide in a bid to remain relevant and stay at the top of her game. Nevertheless, she continued to sacrifice everything for the sake of her fame and threw herself into it, despite the risks.
The last few lines of the song indicate that her success ultimately led her down a different path, away from the energy of youth and hope that her guitar once embodied. She became jaded and lost touch with that spirit, allowing the flashy trappings of her success, such as palaces and limousines, to consume her. In the end, the energy of hope that once drove her career was no longer there, and she lost the swing that was once so integral to her music.

I was aircraft navigation equipment repair with the 552nd out of McClellan AFB. The EC-121 was the first aircraft that I ever worked on. I was also at Korat Thailand and Kwanju Korea TDY. In the old days electronic equipment was very heavy and those planes were loaded with heavy equipment and large crews Being aircrew on a EC-121 was very dangerous. Those guys were really brave. I don't think they have been given enough credit.

So wonderful to see this! I was an EC-121 Radar Operator in 1977 and 1978 in the last operational unit flying out of Homestead AFB in Fla. and Keflavik NAS in Iceland. Still a beautiful bird

My dad (Mearl A. Nichols) was a navigator on the Connies - 551st at Otis, 1962-65. We came to Otis from Paine Field where he was an RO in F-89's. My younger brother was born at Otis. Lots of memories...and a moment of silence for the men on TT4.

I was an officcial "GI Brat" on Otis AFB, from 1961 to 1966, when dad was assigned to Truax AFB, WI. The last assignment my dad had at Otis, was in the Flight Operations office , where flight crews had their flight plans checked, verified, and filed. The base Boy Scout leadership was a crew on one of these planes that have become "eternal patrol", all hands lost.

I flew on the EC121H from Otis AFB in 1967-1968.Then the EC121R from Korat RTAFB in 1968-1969.I was an airborne radio operator and will always remember those old days on the connies.

My father, Jack Anderson, repaired radar on these Connies and was stationed at 551st @Otis when he first signed up (1967??). Told me he reported just after a Connie crashed there. He was later transferred to 552nd @McClellan about 1970 ( I was born in Sacramento Mercy Jan of 1971 while he was stationed there). Also mentioned to me that was in Itazuke TDY, but not sure when. I worked in Corrosion control and panted them same time. At times I felt like a dentist some of the corrosion was so bad. George did you know your eligible for a veterans pension being over 65?

I was at McClellan AFB from 68/71. I went to Korat 2 times.. Iceland twice...Korea once with stops in Tainan Itasuke. I worked the flight line first then went airborne ( more Money). Lots of good memories
