I Didn't know
She asked me why didn't I tell her what went wrong inside
Our Minds
She said it all started long ago
Long ago
She said it was way long ago she started looking around
For someone not like me
Oh, she said
I don't like the way you look
And I don't like the way you talk to me
And she said
I don't like the way you smile
And I don't like the way you sleep with me
You sleep with me
Please, let me know
Tell me if I'm wasting my time
Oh, and I said
Please, come on, let me know
Tell me If I'm wasting my time
Cause then when I thought about everything
Everything
It came to me
I was blind
I was seeing things from inside
Oh, and now it's over now
And she said
I don't like the way you think
And I don't like the way you sing to me
And she said
I don't like the mating vibe
And I don't like the way you make me sigh
You make me sigh
Please, let me know
Tell me am I wasting my time
Oh, and I said
Please, honey, let me know
Tell me Am I wasting my time
Cause then when I thought about everything
Everything
It came to me
I was blind
I was seeing things from inside
Oh, and now it's over now
Oh, she said
I don't like the way you look
And I don't like the way you talk to me
And she said
I don't like the way you smile
And I don't like the way you sleep with me
You sleep with me
Oh, she said
I don't like the way you think
And I don't like the way you sing to me
And she said
I don't like the mating vibe
And I don't like the way you make me sigh
You make me sigh
Please, let me know
Tell me am I wasting my time
Oh, and I said
Please, honey, let me know
Tell me am I wasting my time
There she goes
She's going all alone
Wants to be on her own
Oh, there's nothing I can do
There she goes
She's packing herself away
I will never see her again
I think it's better that way
The lyrics to Watershed's song Wasting Time paint a picture of a failed relationship. The singer is speaking to his partner, who tells him that she doesn't like the way he looks, talks to her, smiles, sleeps with her, thinks or sings to her. She expresses her dissatisfaction with their relationship and admits to having started to look for someone not like him long ago. He becomes introspective and realizes that he was blind and was seeing things from the inside, and subsequently admits that it's over.
Ultimately, the song is about the unraveling of two people's relationship, and the pain and uncertainty that comes with it. The partner's dissatisfaction highlights how often interpersonal flaws can be invisible until it is brought to light. The singer's self-reflection and admission that it is over convey the finality which is often the result of such mental and emotional dissonance.

Thank you so much! This was very helpful. For school, I need to write an essay explaining what a watershed is, why it is important, and why this is important for us and the animals in my region. I wasn't quite sure what it exactly was even after reading several articles, but now I feel a bit better. Thank you!

This video is a great video to watch if your learning about water tables, water qualities, plastic in the ocean and water distribution in a 8th grade science class! This even helped me with my homework! I would recommend this to anyone who needs help on this topic.

This helped a lot. I was trying to figure out if the land around, say, a river, is part of the watershed and you made it clear that it is. So it seems like it is everything that allows water to trickle down hill into a river which can go down hill into the ocean.
Nathalie S. Olson
Yay! Glad this helped. Yes, water moving downhill towards a river or even a wetland, lake, or anybody of water is the watershed.
