1) Wave is a canadian pop/rock duo. The band members were Dave Thomson and Paul Gigliotti, who formed the band after graduating from high school in 1999. They were signed by Warner Music Canada and released their debut album, Nothing As It Seems. Their radio single "California" quickly increased in airplay and reached #1 on the Canadian pop charts. Wave opened for O-Town and Canadian group soulDecision on their tours.

20 to 40 years and the 8 lane interstate that services the coastal ranges, a depth of 60 miles, will be cut in dozens of places for miles, requiring seizing home and shop owners lands to relocate thoee stretches inland safe for another 20 or 30 yrs. It'll cost 100's of billions along the whole coast. Those that say, it's just rich peoples beach house, google map it, there's packed housing from cost 10, 30 50 miles inland along vast stretches of coast. Along with businesses, train lines, harbors, industrial....
CA needs to address these issues NOW, but as we all know, CA dosn't ever address any problems ever. They still allow flood irrigation for farm land for low value silage to feed cows to eat. They still sluice billions of gallongs or rain water to ocean instead of impounding it inland and let it soak in and recharge quifers...
Here's what anyone in that coastal zone needs to do, NOW, to ensure their homes, biz, have some value in 20 or 30 yrs. Yeah for most of you that's your kids problem. Nice. You all need to sit on local offiials, state legislature and gov, every year, huge protest in capital until...
It's just large scale engineering. So was runing dikes up and down the Missisippi River (2 x length of CA coast).
Building out a toe would require running rip rap, non moveable rip rap, meaning blocks the size of a bus until so far underwater wave action won't erode the sands under the leading edge, probably 3 or 4 times heights of bluffs, 300 or 900 feet, about 50 feet thick. When you get to the bluffs, you build a 30 or 45 degree slope from top of bluff down to toe mat. Ideally you incorporate sand, gravel, soils fiber matting, geo textiles to retain fine mateiral until 100,000s of plants you plant can kniet together Including irragation to ensure it thrives but this woudl cost more than the rip rap. So maybe you just do that at select sea access areas and let mother nature fill in voids over the next couple hundred years. .Much of the rip rap mataerial could again be fabricated in a developing country inthe Central Americas.. This would also help enormously with immigration as the 10,000's needed for a generation to work in these fabricators yards will soak up those merely looking for work, and just leave those going to US the onew who want to be citizens. In addition to building the base blocks, there's going to need to be a small mountain range somewhere between Panama and N. CA that can be blown up and hauled off for the fill between and over rip rap, and 1,000's of miles of ocean bottom to be stripped 20 feet deep by auger dredges chewing up sand and rock.
It would need to supercede environmental impact statements and approvals, and instead document the environment, develop a plan to recreate it, mitigate it, and apply realistic funding to endow the work for a generation.
