King of the Beach features a complete rhythm section comprised of Stephen Pope and Billy Hayes, both formerly of the late Jay Reatard's touring band. They toured for almost a year straight until Hayes left the band for some time off. Jacob Cooper, former drummer of The Mae Shi, has since taken his place. After playing the major festival circuit, Nathan started his own record label Ghost Ramp and released the Life Sux EP on September 20th 2011.
On March 26, 2013 Wavves released their 4th studio album "Afraid of Heights" on Mom + Pop records. Jacob Cooper left the band in 2013. Brian Hill (The Soft Pack/The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower) began playing drums soon after.
Wavves' fifth album entitled "V" was released on October 2, 2015 through Ghost Ramp and Warner Bros. Records.

Nothing to do nowhere to go
Here's where I'll stay but that's where I'll go
Started too fast and finished too slow
Everythings right but everythings wrong
Everythings right but everythings wrong
Everythings right but everythings wrong
Everythings wrong, everythings wrong
Going nowhere, going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere, going nowhere
Here's where I'll stay but that's where I'll go
Nothing to do with nothing to show
Here's where I'll stay but that's where I'll go
Started too fast and finished too slow
Everythings wrong, everythings wrong
Everythings wrong, everythings wrong
Everythings wrong, everythings wrong
Everythings wrong, everythings wrong
Here's where I'll stay but that's where I'll go
Here's where I'll stay but that's where I'll go
Here's where I'll stay but that's where I'll go
Here's where I'll stay but that's where I'll go
Going nowhere, going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere, going nowhere
Going nowhere, going nowhere, going nowhere
The lyrics to Wavves's song Beach Demon convey a feeling of being stuck in limbo with no clear direction or purpose. The repeated line "Here's where I'll stay but that's where I'll go" suggests a sense of aimlessness and confusion. The image of "hands on my throat" could be interpreted as a feeling of suffocation or being held back from progress. The lines "Started too fast and finished too slow" could be a reference to a failed attempt at success or accomplishment, with the singer feeling stuck in the aftermath. Overall, the song seems to be exploring themes of ennui, frustration, and a lack of purpose.
