@@rajas4225 True, but this song DOES encompass usage of the whole tone scale. McCoy starts his solo using this scale because of the chord: B7#5, using that as a base, there are several scales that fall into the category of this chord type. I'll only list the relevant ones.

You can also play overtones, melodic minor, and altered scales over this chord.

(TLDR)
While not every chord in the song has whole tone scales that could be built off them (usually consonant, resolution and cadence chords), the chords with dissonance do, and those build the tension into the piece. You need a mix of both. Hope this helps. :)
