Especially since they realized just how low they've sunk. At first they thought this was gonna lead to great things for them...they were getting paid lots of money and were able to buy whatever they wanted. Then the first show happened. That cheesy watered down theme made them realize they became everything they were against..they sold out. They were no longer cool dudes you can rock out with every Friday Night, they were nothing but a bunch of corporate puppets made to plug some lame Arcade chain.

The funniest thing about this is that the movie’s audio team could have tried to make the song sound really smooth and soft to sell the joke, but instead they made it sound like something some room of lame executives would THINK young people would be into. The singer tries to sound edgy but it’s overdone and lame. It’s absolutely perfect.

Dude...I NEVER thought to make that comparison! Old School ECW was cutting edge and brutal in a good way and NXT was a true gold standard brand for up and comers. Vince pretty much Benjamin'd both brands by turning it into a cartoon. Just like when Benjamin watered down Wayne's World to his liking...Vince did the same to ECW and NXT. Good comparisons dude.
