No
We're About 9 Lyrics

when i could have said no
before commitment found the secret
to killing me slow
and i am entirely too young
to feel so old
like everything within me has turned
where is my confidence?
what happened to muse?
i traded my best qualities for a
bitter man's world view
somehow i never seem to have
anything to lose
and in my time spent in self pity
have i missed my chance to choose?
there must have been a time
when i could have said no
to all the bricks that build around me
keeping me inside this hole
but you know it wasn't always like this
time before i sold all the rights
to my own sanity
to the last piece of my soul
what a beautiful time it was
and i could breath in and smile
take it all in, in moderation
knowing i'd be here quite a while
where is my confidence?
what happened to muse?
i traded my best qualities for a
bitter man's world view
somehow i never seem to have
anything to lose
and in my time spent in self pity
have i missed my chance to choose?
where is my confidence?
what happened to muse?
i traded my best qualities for a
bitter man's world view
somehow i never seem to have
anything to lose
and in my time spent in self pity
have i missed my chance to choose?
and in my time
have i missed my chance?
The song "No" by We're About 9 speaks about the singer's regret towards committing to something that slowly kills them. The lyrics suggest that the singer could have said no earlier and avoided reaching a point where everything within them has turned "tired and cold." The singer regrets having lost their best qualities and confidence, and questions if it was worth trading them for a "bitter man's world view."
The repeated questions of "where is my confidence? What happened to muse?" suggest that the singer is struggling with their identity and purpose. The lines "somehow I never seem to have anything to lose" indicates that the singer may feel like they have hit rock bottom and have nothing left to lose. The last line "and in my time, have I missed my chance?" suggests that the singer fears that they may have missed an opportunity to change their fate.
The song explores themes of regret, identity, missed opportunities, and internal struggles. It is relatable to anyone who has reached a point in their life where they feel stuck in a situation they committed to but now regret. The lyrics express the feeling of being trapped and needing to break free, but also acknowledging that it may be too late to turn back.

"I'm the one who's gonna die when it's time for me to die....so let me live my life...the way I want to" Best Counter Culture music and lyrics in this song...the 60-70's produced the best sound experiences ever. I'm 62 and turned on to Jimi at 13 and never looked back. Dig that

This track is very short, I think the recording studio didn't like the lyrics for some reason!!! I have the cd and the track on cd is longer, but, after 1:38 it switches to something else from Jimi Hendrix, This track also played in the movie Easy Rider, Good Movie that really shows the culture of that
time in history!!! I was 16 right in the midst of the Hippie era, some good memories and some not so good>>>>>>>
