Having started off as a solo project, Travis Johnides, former guitarist for Long Island punk band The Goodwill, took his experiences with The Goodwill, which consisted of releasing albums nationwide and touring with and opening for bands such as My Chemical Romance, Fallout Boy, AFI, The All-American Rejects, fellow Long Islanders Taking Back Sunday and Brand New, and more, and applied it to his songwriting and overall enthusiasm towards his new project. After joining him on stage for the first few shows, Travis asked his sister, a trained vocalist, to join the band, which officially made We’re All Just Passing Through a duo.
We’re All Just Passing Through has internationally released 3 studio EP’s, a live EP, and an original Christmas single. For additional information, please visit: http://www.WereAllJustPassingThrough.com/ or email: WereAllJustPassingThrough@gmail.com

This Christmas
We're All Just Passing Through Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You said you're moving south for the holidays
I, I got a big mouth
I'm always saying, something you don't wanna hear
Now, December's rolled around
Snow is on the ground, you've left me here
Please don't go, I don't wanna be alone, this Christmas
Please don't go, I don't wanna be alone, this Christmas
Let the lights on the houses guide your way
Back to me on this Christmas day
Where I'll be standing amongst the snow
Ready to welcome you back home
Please don't go, I don't wanna be alone, this Christmas
Please don't go, I don't wanna be alone, this Christmas
Please don't go, I don't wanna be alone, this Christmas
Please don't go, I don't wanna be alone, this Christmas
(Let the lights on the houses guide your way)
(Back to me on this Christmas day)
(Where I'll be standing amongst the snow)
(Ready to welcome you back home)
The song "This Christmas" by We're All Just Passing Through is a heart-wrenching ballad of someone pleading for their loved one not to leave them alone during the holiday season. The song starts off with the person telling their partner that they are moving south for the holidays and have it all figured out. However, the singer has a big mouth and says things that their partner doesn't want to hear. As December rolls around, the snow is on the ground, and their partner leaves them there.
The chorus repeats the plea for their partner not to go and leave them alone during Christmas. The singer imagines their partner coming back to them, guided by the lights on the houses. They'll be standing amongst the snow, ready to welcome their partner back home. The repetition of the plea shows just how much the singer doesn't want to be alone during the holiday season.
The song captures the loneliness and heartbreak that can come with the holiday season when loved ones are far away or no longer present. The use of imagery with the snow and lights on the houses adds an extra layer of emotion to the song. Overall, "This Christmas" is a poignant reminder of the importance of spending the holidays with loved ones.
