The Wednesday Night Heroes started as a high school band, with Luke "the Manimal" Mackinnon on bass and Todd Rocket on the drums. Soon after looking for a vocalist, Luke decided to enlist his brother, Graeme on vocals. Lance "the Impaler" later joined on guitar. The group released two seven inches: first a split with another Canadian punk band The Cleats and No Regrets For Youth both out on Longshot records.

Soon before the bands sophmore debut, Superioty Complex Lance quit the band and Konrad Andrelunas stepped in on guitar. After endless months of touring Todd Rocket soon quit and Jay "Bomber" from the Mad Bomber Society took over on drums.

After two years of endless non-stop touring all over North America they caught the eye of Jake from The Casualties. Upon seeing them live, he took them on tour with his band and quickly signed them to his record company, Charged Records and released their 7" Move To Press in 2005.

In March of 2006 the WNH also caught the eye of the Stern brothers from, Youth Brigade and in late 2006 was signed to their label, BYO records. In June 2007 their third full length LP entitled, Guilty Pleasures will be released on BYO.

The Wednesday Night Heroes are most well known for their highly energetic live shows and humour. This can also be seen in Konrad's and Graeme's side project, Whiz Kidz.

You didn't use the night vision correctly. You're supposed to turn on the green laser then wave it around to signal someone next to the object your looking at to turn on a light and illuminate it. You didn't have that other guy, so of course it didn't work. Love your channel ;)

I saw these at home Depot the other day. I was wondering how they would work. I was right about my doubts. They should at least make it with a system that uses infrared light or infrared laser.

I bought these as a Christmas present for my dad on sale at Home Depot, we tested them that night and I returned them the next day. The laser on mine, even though it was actually a circle, was also defective. It was terribly calibrated far to the right of the field of view, and you can't adjust the sighting whatsoever without breaking the plastic.

When you turn on the laser, the night vision effect is looking at something that's glowing green. When it's far away, the laser can not go far enough so you are just looking at the object with no laser. So I took a thin piece of glass and attached it over the 2 lenses and light, so the glass stops the laser from going any farther but shoots the light across the lens, making the lenses basically green and "night vision"

I can't believe I just barely saw the first add for these things 2 years later.
I pretty much knew these were probably a crappy gimmick, but figured I'd see if you had a review because I was curious if it actually does what it claims to.
I don't buy as seen on TV products because I prefer American made quality and not gimmicks, but sometimes I'm curious if any claims are ever true at all.

Hey! love these green laser binoculars,I went out into my back yard of my farm and use these binoculars in the dark, but I couldn't see shit until I turned my green laser on and pointed dead at some horses manure and it glowed in the dark while everywhere else was pitch black.Thank you so much for this product.Now I can see what I've been stepping in.

Wow I thought the alignment was bad on the one I got but your video wins. After taking the laser housing apart I found chucks of glue floating around in the case. Clearly China uses super low budget RTV. But after a few tweeks I was able to center the beam spot to make them work like the prototype they coned "As Seen on TV" with and now I have a fully functional target on myself if I ever pointed them at a person. But with the beam signs in the correct alignment they worked. At the range of 150+ feet it did provide contrast but truly NOT night vision just a green flashlight. Good for watching the rat chew up your yard but not worth it for serious night hunting or viewing.

Great review. I was interested in these. But I want to correct you. Infrared detects heat. Night vision uses what we referred to in the military as infra-green. There’s also an infra-blue.

Interesting that it is as high as 3R class laser. If you point that laser to a car driver or a pilot when you use the binoculars, you can actually flashblind them.

Actually Night vision detects visible light while infrared detects radiated heat. Night vision needs a little amount of light while infrared doesn't. Infrared is better for camouflaged targets than night vision. Night vision can be counteracted by bright light while infracted can counteracted by cooling.

Nice review! Note that as of today, Sep 26, 2019, I just now saw an ad for these on Newsmax TV (great ap, by the way!) and they make it look every bit as good as some military commando equipment.

They would have to add one badass high-powered Kick-Ass light feature to it something that can probably show him for at least at least a quarter of a mile or more and then the lenders would have to have some kind of protection room to reduce the glare from the light but even then it would just be binoculars with a spotlight unless they could create an ultraviolet light that could not be seen with the naked eye that maybe somehow the lenses could pick up with some kind of high-tech fim or something

The green laser should produce a perfectly round green dot. The ones you reviewed were deffinately defective. Pops just got me a pair. I'll see how they do tonight. No it is not real night vision. It probably won't work very far off. But from what I'm seeing looking at these ones, they deffinately should let you see for a short distance at night. You will deffinately not view people at night with them secretly though because of the big green dot the beam makes.

Green Laser (flashlight) sighted well off bore-sight, My pair (a gift) illuminated objects below where you looked.... The green light was fairly powerful, a bright green circle much brighter than shown on the video. It just lighted up a area below the binocular's field of vision. The laser on the video was unfocused trash (defective). Anyway, aside from the fact they are not night vision at all (i.e. no light amplification) they are just cheap binoculars with a cheap green laser acting as an attached flashlight, Anyway their QA is junk and the laser is somewhat dangerous for eyesight mishaps. I recommend do not buy...

Damn. It’s to be expected. Real military grade night vision goggles that don’t use infrared, but rather light sensing particles use analog rather than digital technology that’s been around almost a hundred years. It’s one of the few fields where digital has not surpassed analog yet.

Actually, digital technology works in favor of night vision optics because they can be used day or night w/o harm to the sensors. Analog NV optics will burn out if exposed to daylight.

Unfortunately, I Already impulse bought these in line at home Depot,..something I know better than to do..I wasnt expecting much.. but it's outright deceptive to call those night vision,. The green light duping folks into thinking they're getting something that can replicate the true night vision infrared NV videos they've seen.. ( which appear green in color )....this is binoculars with a headlight green laser...total b.s... Anyway, Like your style...you should have a TV show.... I just wish I'd caught you sooner... Thanks!

Got this for my birthday from my uncle who probably got it on his way to our house because when I got it I was like, "Cool! Fricken' night vision binocs!" But then as I looked it over, I started to wonder how it was actually going to be night vision. I had just been done studying lights, lasers and other related science so I assumed I was just not as smart as I thought. Once I tested them out however, my suspicions were confirmed when I found out they are literally a pair of binocs with a green laser in the middle that couldn't light up a closet and I doubt even has an IR filter so don't look at it straight on or permanent eye damage for you! What a piece of garbage...

Not really sure what happened to the laser on your binoculars , maybe you have a defective pair , or maybe they fell on the ground before you bought them , but i bought a pair at walmart the other day on clearance and the laser is perfectly round on mine , they work as advertised imo. Can't really complain , yes , it is basically just a green laser i guess , but the further i get the bigger the green laser circle gets and does light up the night pretty well.

yeah i was gonna say that for a kid around the house or for fun they are cool,more of a novelty for an adult. i got them for a friends son he is 11 he loves them as he plays with nerf etc, a bit over price at 40 i got them for 25. his is not right its round and more bright and said for 10-40 feet for the green light at night knew they was a green flashlight attached to binoculars.anyways 7/10

Magnification isn't everything with binoculars. Light loss, definition, colour abnegation all have to be taken into consideration and $40 binoculars are NOT going to meet any reasonable criteria for quality.

Even as plain binoculars I wouldn't touch them at $40. You cannot produce quality lenses for that money. No way would you get anything regarded as reasonable night vision for less than £200. These things are quite simply a scam.

So, it's basically a pair of binoculars with a highly focused beam of light. Night vision it ain't. The reason it uses green is because it's quite a high energy beam while not as high as blue light. But, as you pointed out, it's not even a good laser. You're better off with a flashlight with a lithium-ion and a powerful LED.

However, it seems as a pair of binoculars, it's quite decent. If it's powerful enough, you could conceivably see, in the right time of the year, the four Galilean moons of Jupiter.

If you view the box carefully you can see that the animals was beamed in the face and everything else around was dark.The picture was cropped to make it appear it was a full view.

They use cheap lenses. At 6:43 you can see colored bands around objects this is called chromatic aberration. This happens with all lenses and special (expensive) glass or coatings is needed to correct for it.
So no they are below average binoculars.

True night vision goggles need some illumination in order to work. In a night like shown in the video you would have zero lume meaning not enough illumination for real NVGs to work properly.

This scam is being used everywhere. I saw a monocular advertised as night vision. The specs mentioned nothing that would help the piece see in the dark. But the description said that you could use the monocular at night. You may not see anything, but it’s OK to use them at night, hence night vision. I guess that means my glasses are night vision as well.

I was subbed to this channel back when it was just in the thousands. So being 200x that now is pretty impressive to me. James just needs another bump from YouTube by having his stuff more on the recommended page and/or homepage.

Not even a laser, the light scatters. Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. Light waves should be more or less parallel.

In theory you eyes can make out more shades of green than red. But the only way these would work is if you see the reflected laser light from an object through TVs binocular lenses. Obviously someone read the theory and didn't make a prototype, they just got a good deal on a bunch of cheap green lasers (and it's easy to see why they were going cheap) and rushed into production :D

The Night Vision Binoculars are definitely "breaking bad" I don't think I'll be havin any night visions about those binoculars.

Yeah I once bought a pair of "Night vision" Binoculars that didn't even have the crappy green laser you won't get IR Night vision device for less than a few thousand digital night vision is cheaper not as good as the IR but it atleast works

Well if I check and found you first, I would not of spent the 40 on them. But after watching now I will keep them cause you said they are pretty good. I just need it to see around 5 acres sometimes I can't make out stuff. thanks

I think your binoculars are broken. I tried this product out a few weeks back and the laser was a perfect green circle. It worked, but not well. I could see things inside the house and cars and things in the yard but nothing too far. I thought they'd be decent enough for a kid to play with at Christmas, but I returned them thinking they would be dropped and the laser would end up looking like yours did.

The pair i bought here in AUSTRALIA work fine !!, it's a large circle, and you can even see the beam in fog !!.

For 10x binos, the picture is pretty low quality , a really good pair of 10x binos would be olympus 10x50 DPS I, highly recommend it at only about $150-$200.

Bought that for my grandson at Christmas. His laser was better. It was in the shape of a circle and aimed where the binoculars looked. But still very disappointing. Would not buy. Good review.

I have a pair and my green light looks like a half green moon and a shadow of a rooster . but the regular vision seems ok just a little hard to adjust.

I haven't watched the video yet but I did buy these night vision binoculars and they are absolutely worthless as far as the night vision goes I've never seen anything so falsely represented
