The Wednesday Night Heroes started as a high school band, with Luke "the Manimal" Mackinnon on bass and Todd Rocket on the drums. Soon after looking for a vocalist, Luke decided to enlist his brother, Graeme on vocals. Lance "the Impaler" later joined on guitar. The group released two seven inches: first a split with another Canadian punk band The Cleats and No Regrets For Youth both out on Longshot records.
Soon before the bands sophmore debut, Superioty Complex Lance quit the band and Konrad Andrelunas stepped in on guitar. After endless months of touring Todd Rocket soon quit and Jay "Bomber" from the Mad Bomber Society took over on drums.
After two years of endless non-stop touring all over North America they caught the eye of Jake from The Casualties. Upon seeing them live, he took them on tour with his band and quickly signed them to his record company, Charged Records and released their 7" Move To Press in 2005.
In March of 2006 the WNH also caught the eye of the Stern brothers from, Youth Brigade and in late 2006 was signed to their label, BYO records. In June 2007 their third full length LP entitled, Guilty Pleasures will be released on BYO.
The Wednesday Night Heroes are most well known for their highly energetic live shows and humour. This can also be seen in Konrad's and Graeme's side project, Whiz Kidz.

Wednesday Night Heroes Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You bastard
Telling me this & that, I can't wait to get you back
You traitor...
You're full of shit...WE SEE THOUGH YOUR LIES
Your stories are shit...TIME AFTER TIME
& we SEE RIGHT THOUGH YOU
You liar...see though your lies
You bastard...see though your lies
Can't trust you...see though your lies
Fake promises...see though your lies
WE...
SEE...
THOUGH...
See though your lies
The lyrics of Wednesday Night Heroes's song Liar provides a powerful reflection on the feeling of betrayal and the intense emotion that comes with it. The song is essentially about someone who has been lied to repeatedly and has now realized the extent of the deceit. The opening line "You liar, You bastard" sets the tone for the rest of the song - a scorching indictment of the person being addressed. The singer is fed up with being told "this & that" and is looking forward to getting back at the liar.
Throughout the song, the lyrics reflect the singer's anger and frustration with the liar. The repeated phrase "we see through your lies" underscores the fact that the liar has been caught out and is no longer able to get away with their deceit. The use of the word "traitor" is particularly effective - it suggests that the liar has not just lied but has actually betrayed the trust that the singer had placed in them. The strong language and the repetition of phrases like "You're full of shit" and "time after time" help to drive home the point that the liar is not to be trusted.
In conclusion, the lyrics of Wednesday Night Heroes's song Liar are a powerful reflection on the emotions that come with betrayal. The song is an angry, uncompromising indictment of someone who has repeatedly lied and deceived the singer.
