1. WEEP, also known as Doc Hammer's Weep is an American rock band from New York City whose music combines elements of shoegazing, post-punk and synthpop. Formed in 2008 by singer and guitarist Doc Hammer, formerly of Requiem in White and Mors Syphilitica, the band's lineup also includes Fred Macaraeg on bass guitar, Alex Dziena on keyboards, and Bill Kovalcik on drums.
Their debut EP Never Ever was released in 2008, followed in 2010 by the full-length album Worn Thin and a remix EP, 6 Interpretations.
In January 2011 WEEP released a digital single for Lay There and Drown and The Hole, two songs from Never Ever that Hammer remixed, remastered, and re-recorded some vocal parts for. The following month, on Valentine's Day, the band gave away a free music download of a cover version of Bauhaus' 1981 single The Passion of Lovers.
WEEP's music has been described as dark and expansive, with "shimmering guitars and spacy synthesizers". Hammer's singing voice has been noted for its gravelly, robotic qualities which provide a counterpoint to the lush song arrangements. Critics have compared the band to a number of post-punk, alternative rock, and shoegaze acts of the 1980s and 1990s.
2. Blend infectious melodies, tight harmonies, and an in your face modern funk rock style with lyrics that echo the human condition, and you emerge with a uniquely diverse sound that heals, transforms and promotes love and peace; the sound of the 5 individuals known as WEEP, who together, bring the music to life, and take the listener on a journey of true emotions! WEEP's journey began in Minneapolis, MN, with Robin Lynn Winkelmann, Kim Paschke, and former bassist Kristine Gretillat. Taking a detour to Ithaca, NY, where they recorded two CDs, and toured endlessly on the East Coast, (including frequent returns to New York City and the now defunct CBGB’s), Kim and Robin, on the heels of Kristine’s departure from WEEP, have continued the journey to their current home in Central Florida, where they are now gracing stages with their new, very talented lineup: Keyboardist Melanie England, Drummer Rhonda 'G' Attkisson, Guitarist Suzanne Daly, Kim now on bass and Robin. With over 3 hours of original music, electrifying live performances, and their newly released EP, “Rock It”, this group of women is captivating listeners and spreading the message of peace far and wide with their hook-laden songs and their magnetic appeal!
3. An Early 90’s French emo/hardcore band.
When I'm Wrong
Weep Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Bandage all we can
Tangled hair and evils
Hurry to feel your loss
In blindness your tongue-tied lies
Were honey sweet
Venom set to song
In silence your efforts
Die in my arms
Not without their charms
Say the strong
When I'm wrong
Something of a poison
Soft a garden grows
Born of blood in season
Growing to feel your loss
The lyrics to Weep's song When I'm Wrong seem to be describing a situation in which the singer or singer realizes they have made a mistake or wronged someone, and are now grappling with the consequences. The opening lines mention "broken clocks and ankles" and "tangled hair and evils," which could suggest a sense of chaos or disarray. The line "bandage all we can" could imply an attempt to repair or heal the situation, though it's not clear if this is successful.
The following lines indicate that the singer may have been lying or concealing something, as they refer to "blindness" and "tongue-tied lies" that were "honey sweet" but also venomous. The lyrics suggest that the deception may have been a form of defense or offense ("say the strong"), but that it ultimately failed ("in silence your efforts die in my arms").
The final lines seem to suggest a kind of poetic justice or karmic reckoning, as the singer acknowledges the hurt they have caused and the growth that has come from it ("something of a poison, soft a garden grows...born of blood in season, growing to feel your loss"). Overall, the lyrics convey a sense of regret and reflection, tinged with both bitterness and perseverance.

I've always wondered whether he was truly buck naked, swinging for the fences, or if he was rocking a sock or something.

This is a great tune. WEEP is so smooth. Its hard to put your finger on what makes them so alluring. Come out for the Hammer, stay for the gritty up to date synths with an 80s infused naivete. So great!
