They started as a medieval rock band and evolved into a fabulous and genuine band with a great bunch of different musical influences that makes it so unique.
To understand what the Weepers Circus is, you need to catch the train of their music, jump in it, and hold it tight, because you’ll be taken in lots of new places. You’ll discover a whole new world of colours, emotions and feelings.
With their last album called “La monstrueuse parade” they invite you to discover or rediscover the atmosphere of the Tod Browning’s movie “Freaks” (from 1932).
The first two songs (“Seul”, “La dignité”) are quite rock and give a dynamic tone to the record.
Then the atmosphere changes and you get wrap in a dress of smooth as the first note of the song “L’oiseau de Paradis” comes to your ears. This warm and lovely atmosphere last during the next two songs called “Janvier” and “En rêve”.
You are taken away from your reverie by the amazing voice of the French artist Olivia Ruiz, who has joined the Circus on the song “Sans vous aimer”. This song gives a new energy and opens the doors on a new picture, jazzier and lighter.
First there is the song called “La fille et le loup” that is a kind of caricature of the fairy Little red riding hood. With this song, the Weepers Circus shows you that you can be great artists, with a real and deep universe and a true talent, without taking yourself seriously. It’s an evidence of their sense of humour!
The next 2 songs called “Quelqu’un” and “La dernière pluie” and the duet with Isabelle Lux “Tu perds ton temps” keep the same energy, but have deeper meanings. Even if the lyrics are full of emotions, and sometimes of sadness, these songs make you feel like Charlie Chaplin when he was singing in the rain!
The song called “La parole perdue” is a perfect transition that drives you from the sweetness of the song called “Larme” to the liveliness and keenness of “Ca passe”.
Then comes the song called “L’une des nôtres” directly inspired by the Tod Browning’ movie from 1932 (“Freaks”). This song is very strong and the brasses give it a darker and deeper dimension.
And finally, our five weepers give you the coup de grace with their last song “Le monstre”. If you’ve been strong enough to restrain your tears during the listening of the record, this song will manage to draw tears from you!
When the listening is over, you get this strange feeling of having been knocked out by someone. In a little less than one hour, you’ve gone through so many different emotions that you hardly know where you are left now the music has been turn off!
You need to be warned: Their music is a drug, and you can easily get addicted!! But don’t worry, this kind of drug is very healthy!

Comment faire,
Comment défaire,
Comment refaire,
Écoute-moi bien,
Regarde leur faim,
Regarde leurs mains,
Elles tremblent… en vain !
Il y a dans leurs yeux
Rien d’autre qu’eux,
The lyrics of "Le parvenu" by Weepers Circus reflect the perspective of a character who has risen from a humble background and attained success, but is hardened and manipulative as a result. The song begins with the character confidently stating that they will teach someone how to achieve, dismantle, and reconstruct things. They draw attention to the hunger and trembling hands of others, implying that they are able to exploit their vulnerabilities.
The second verse acknowledges the fear, despair, and eventual demise experienced by those who are subject to the character's manipulative ways. The lyrics suggest that the character themselves had to grow and suffer to become the "disgusting upstart" they have become. There is an implied sense of caution towards not following the character's commands as they claim they will ensure that nobody speaks about the person and even threaten to kill them if disobedience persists.
The third verse delves into the nature of the character's success, describing it as agile commerce, a dance in which they thrive, devoid of innocence and transcendence. Luck and misfortune, balance and trances, are all part of their calculated game. The character refers to themselves as the "recreator" or the "happy creator" of a creation that seems to be never-ending, with the masses piling up as they push and repel them. The character cynically refers to the followers as fools.
