I remember hearing this song a few times when I was in my pre-teen years. I thought it was performed by another group. Regrettably, until tonight, I had little familiarity with Bob Welch. Now I've heard four of his songs through YouTube. And I haven't heard this in over 40 years, until tonight. Talk about learning something new ever day!

The same thing happened to me. I was a kid when this came out and I had forgotten about it until I went down the Bob Welch rabbit hole. I was like, “Oh! He sang that? And that? And that too?!”.

However, it was a time where someone had a guitar...met up with a drummer and a bassist and a keyboard player...heck, even the brass and woodwinds were welcome...and just played music. Bad is in the ear of the beholder, but at least they were making music. I guess it’s all art if you think about it. But among us average people, there was no study in theory or “contemporianism”. It was just music and fun. No violence and no stress. Well, little stress.

I love it when a song can remind you that nothing truly changes. That, to me, is Stairway to Heaven amongst many of their other songs. But I'm excited about this new band, too.
