When examining Carlos' fight with Gaolang, you gotta consider how much better Gaolang had become after the two year time skip. If he did not have the unbreakable fist, the fight could have gone much differently.

Gaolang gets his hand broken if the fight happens 2 years ago. Then gaolang still have the rest of his kit, but the difficulty rises.
I think you got the doctor match-up wrong. Feeling pain doesn't matter when you've taken a blow to the chin. It's lights out. Hanafusa has a small build and not much foresight I don't see him being able to prevent a ko. He would have to one shot Carlos with his blade by surprise... That's when I realize how Kengan fights work like fighting games. You hit until you depleted your opponent's life bar instead of doing the right move at the right time (ex: baki or Ali Jr during the Raitai).

When they were comparing Carlos to Kuroki I don't believe they were ever implying he was as strong as Kuroki. They were simply saying that within his own realm of boxing no one could touch him, he was lonely due to his strength the same way Kuroki is lonely due to his strength in the realm of fighting.

Great video but there are a few matches I strongly disagree with you, Carlos is a lot stronger and has a lot more "fight/match experience" than some of the fighters you think would beat him. Anyone that can push Gaolang (who is arguably Top 5 if not Top 3 fighters in the Kengan Tournament- yes Gaolang beats both Hatsumi and Rurian) especially at such a weight disadvantage is a superior skilled fighter. Still great video and keep up the great work.

I agree gaolang currently slaps carlos about 70% diff but thats cuz gaolang whent up a tier at least. He had a timeskip boost and a rock breaking fist so carlos should get a bit more respect for being able to last as long as he did. He still loses to the super top tiers but he should be a real threat to people like Cosmo and muteba.

I think almost everybody forget the power of the kapoera kick.
He was able to break the bones of gaolang, who is one of the fighter with the strongest bones due to his muey Thai training after saw paing and maybe akoya, one of his kick in the head could knockdown almost anybody, and his speed and his foresight would make him top 10 easily...
Just look at the praise all other purgatory fighters give him.

I think the Raian assessment may be a little watered down lol he'd beat him pretty bad without removal ...remember hes stubborn and doesnt use kure clan techniques that often so I guess if he fights seriously it would be abt the same as omha with his memory back

I don’t know about his fight with Julius. I believe Julius WILL win, but it’ll be more annoying than anything. If Carlos sticks to his boxing and jabs, I think he’d be too speedy for Julius to actually hit in the beginning. Coupled with his small frame, he’d be chipping away at Julius for a while. If Carlos switches to his Capoeira, Julius would easily beat him, though.

That'd be awesome to see Kengan fight underground fighters from other countries. Carlos was said to fight in Brazil, probably something like Vale Tudo. And China was said to have several underground organizations. Or it'd be cool to see what kind they have in Europe or the U.S.

Apparently Carlos lost the weight because he couldn't turn the extra muscle into striking power due to his frame.

Agito explained that it was the equivalent of Carlos winning the heavyweight boxing championship weighing 57kg but wearing a 30kg vest.

So the weight he chose when he fought Gaolang was optimized for his frame.

I think it's unfair to put Nezu in this tier list, the feats he has are that he ran a biker gang and became the champion of Bishimon (another underground fight ring) but since we never really saw any actual fighting from him apart from the Guardian attack we can't really rank him on how good he is. And before you say he got knocked out after the first hit, he was fighting Rei, who no one knew what he was capable of so that's not a excuse

Sawada if I recall had one real showing of his power and of all people it was against Julius. Maybe biased from me but I think he could at least pose a challenge to someone like Carlos. Probably not win but since sawada got very little chance to show what he could do against opponents who were not roided out of their minds, it's not really fair to say Carlos destroys him or that sawada is trash. Anderson Silva vs Francis Ngannou will look like a massacre compared to Silva vs Adesanya. Again not saying sawada would win but saying he's really not shown much of his skill set beyond a kick that would have broken another fighter's neck besides julius' or someone of that build.

Kengan fighter has much more edge before the reformation of the rules after ohma supposedly death. Since they fight with no rest like you got a fight today and you have another match tomorrow they dont have enough time to recover from injuries and their is no rule you can just kill your opponent if you wanted to but since the kengan fighter are fighting on the unfamiliar rules of the purgatory its just by pure plot armor carlos able to defeat gaolang if carlos fough against Saw Piang the most durable kengan fighter with good striking power Carlos is in big trouble since most of his techniques don't have much power behind it.
