Born Sannie Charlotte Carlson in Skælskør, Denmark on 11 April 1970, she spent several years in Africa as a child before returning to her native country. She rose to prominence when her single "Saturday Night" became the summer smash hit of 1994, thanks to extensive play in the clubs of the Mediterranean and the fact that it had a dance which many found easy to learn. She became the first ever non-UK artist to début at No.1 in their first week in the UK Singles Chart. Her music was also very successful in Brazil, Canada, Australia, France and the Nordic countries during the 1994 eurodance phenomenon.
However the only place where she has yet to achieve success, and has eluded her since, is the United States (Even though she placed both "Saturday Night" and "Another Day" on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1995, with "Night" peaking at #19 and "Day" coming in at #21, respectively).
Later singles include "Think of You", "Close To You", "Last Christmas", "Gimme Gimme" and "Sexy Eyes".
Last Whigfield's album was "All In One" In which all the songs were chosen by the fans.
All tracks have been re-sung, re-mixed, and re-edited.
The album features two bonus tracks that have never been recorded by Whigfield before, "right in the night - cover" and a completely new whigfield song "Rainbow".
At the moment Whigfield is recording new album. This album will be produced by Pochill, while Whigfield has released new single No doubt.

Feeling just like a fool
Hey, I'm not your toy
Don't treat me cruel
Don't you stop me now
Doing what I want to do
Boy you're outta line
I can do it alone
And I'm feeling fine
Now I'm here
On my own
Don't you see my eyes
Are looking 'round for something new
Boy you're outta line
I can't live another day with you
Another day with you
Well I've seen the light
And I'm getting out soon
Cause you've tired me
And my loving is through
I can't tell no lies
There is nothing left for you
Boy you're outta line
Now this life is mine
I can do it alone
And I'm feeling fine
Now I'm here
On my own
Don't you see my eyes
Are looking around for something new
Boy you're outta line
I can't live another day with you
Another day with you
with you
Another day with you
The lyrics to Whigfield's song "Another Day" explore the theme of a toxic relationship and the empowering feeling of breaking free from it. The singer addresses her partner who has been treating her poorly and making her feel like a toy. She expresses her desire to do what she wants to do and not be held back by his negative influence. She acknowledges that she can't continue to live another day with him and that she's ready to move on with her life. The chorus is the most catchy part of the song with the repetition of "I can't live another day with you" emphasizing the singer's decision to leave the relationship.
Throughout the song, there is a sense of liberation and self-discovery. The singer is finally seeing the light and realizing that she deserves better. She's confident in her ability to live her life on her own terms and is excited about the possibilities that the future holds. The repetition of "Now this life is mine, I can do it alone, and I'm feeling fine" highlights her newfound sense of freedom and independence.
Overall, Whigfield's "Another Day" is a powerful song about the importance of standing up for oneself and refusing to settle for anything less than what one deserves. The lyrics offer a message of hope to anyone who may be struggling in a toxic relationship, empowering them to take control of their lives and make positive changes.
