"Whirlybirds", "Champion the Wonder Horse" and "Circus Boy" - fondly remembered shows from my early childhood - we didn't have all the US shows in the UK but I remember these well!
@Pickinbuddy
This was my favorite TV show growing up as a kid!
@KPMCV
I came across this theme tune this evening and could even remember the helicopter's call sign 'N975B'. My goodness, that was about 55 years ago and 'whirlybirds' was the beginning of my fascination for helicopters. I have flown in many since then. Thanks 'Whirlybirds'.
@Rollin558
Wow. This was one of my favorite TV shows growing up. Thanks for the post.
@jrcadet4
I loved this show so much that my grandfather's gift on my 10th birthday was a helicopter flight in a Bell 47G over Long Beach Harbor. WOW. I still grin like the Cheshire Cat just thinking of it...
@c.l.putnam3391
This was my favorite TV show. So much so that I went into Army Aviation and flew Huey gunships for a year in Vietnam. How about that? Lucky I came out in one piece. Talk about being influenced by TV.
@beatlejim64
LOVED this show as a kid...

your dad was Bill Loose? Holy Moly. That's awesome! He gave the world many great soundtracks. Love the early work he did for Russ Meyer.
@n8vcal
My dad, William Loose, wrote the theme but was sued by the Air Force for copyright infringement. The count sided with the Air Force saying it was too similar to "Off we go into the wild blue yonder".
@Mr572u
I am 63 years old and I still remember N975B Great TV show!
