Saw 'em play with Death Piggy in Charlottesville. My band Baby Opaque opened. (Or was I with the Beef People that night?)
Was at Muldowney's pub. There were about 100 people in a room that held about 50.
During Death Piggy's set, Dave Brockie accidentally hit me in the head with his bass when we both dove into crowd at the same time, from 90 degree angles.
I was suddenly bleeding all over the dance floor. Stopped the show. I went to the hospital, had stitches. Still have the scar.
As I was being taken to hospital, Brockie said over the mic, "You're not going to sue me, are you?"
I yelled back from the front door "Of course not!"
He said "Good, you have guest list for life for any shows I ever play."
I didn't ask for that, but I held him to it. Saw Gwar 20 times in 4 cities free after that.
