I am 51. All I could ever do was one side. Used the beginner method a week ago and finally learned to solve. My son then taught me some algorithms to get my time from 5 minutes to about 2 min. My fastest is 1.41 😁. Doing the daisy to get the white cross was so natural for me and I could do it super fast. But I hate how much turning and cube turning it takes. So now I am here to learn this. It is going to take me some time to retrain my brain but I know it will be worth it. It takes me longer right now, but I notice how many steps less this is and I like how the cube is already set to do the corners. Hoping I can master this method. I never thought I could do the cube, then never thought I could learn more than the beginner algorithms, but here I am... lol. This one will take a little more time to learn but I know it will be worth it 😁😁.

you got something wrong about the beginners method. first of all you said that in the beginner method you use F2L, which isnt in any beginner method. CFOP is what F2L is used in. Cross, F2L, orientate last layer, and permutate last layer.

@Andreas Kleopa honestly its one of those things you have to keep doing. I started cubing with beginners method 3 weeks ago and i live within a 3 min walk dis from my house to the school. It used to take my 2 min just to get the cross because it was just so new to me. Now i can solve the cube 2 times with some extra time on my walk. Theres not really any algs for solving the cross so you just have to keep practicing. Im stuck on 7 sec so im trying to get faster too.
