However, in August 2006 they had a reunion concert at the third annual Soul2Soul Honors event in New Albany, Indiana (Louisville, Kentucky), with the following line-up: Billy Smiley, Rick Florian, Mark Gershmel, Tommy Sims, Jon Knox and Gordon Kennedy.

Vital Signs
White Heart Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It's your pulse up on that machine
Your life is right there before you
Glowing on that screen
The monitor is running
And it's hooked up to your soul
Keeping track of your feelings
Check your vital signs
Are they looking fine
Watch your vital signs
You can keep yourself in line
Are your actions connected
With what's inside your head
Living like the Master
Doing what he said
The heart that follows Jesus
Has got a smooth and steady beat
Flowing with the love of God
Really makes your life complete
Check your vital signs
Are they looking fine
Watch your vital signs
You can keep yourself in line
In "Vital Signs," White Heart is encouraging listeners to take a look at their lives and examine if they are living in accordance with their beliefs. The song references the imagery of a hospital monitor which displays the patient's vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen level) in real time. In the same vein, the song suggests that by checking our "vital signs" (our actions, beliefs, and emotions), we can ensure that we are staying in line with our faith and spirituality. The lyrics encourage listeners to examine if their actions and beliefs are consistent and aligned, or if there is a disparity between the two.
The song also references the importance of following Jesus and living according to his teachings. The heart that follows Jesus, according to the song, beats smoothly and steadily and is filled with God's love. By living this way, our vital signs will always be looking fine and we can keep ourselves in line.

Okay, this was quite funny and very dated, but because I'm such a huge fan of these guys, I was loving every minute of it! Please show us more of these old videos. They are very rare indeed.

I'm looking for a song I used to know in the 80s. Every time I come across a song title that gives me a little memory nudge, I check it out and it's as if I heard it last week. It's funny how music does that. (I'm 48!)

Gotta love the 80s!!!

I loved listening to them back in the day because Dan Huff was a killer guitar player. Dan Huff went on to be a Nashville studio guitarist..

GRD62 actually he made his name after this in the studios of LA. After the 80s died he moved to Nashville and became a big-time record producer. He's got quite the names of artists in his accolades. Think of anybody you listen to in either genre of CCM music or mainstream, and you've been listening to him all along. He played on everybody's albums. He was that in demand. But hey when a guy can walk in the studio and nail the whole song in one take, of course that guy is going to be in demand. An amazing guitar player!
I just wish I could figure out what kind of guitar picks he used when playing. Nobody knows. It must be a trade secret or a part of his "secret sauce" to get that amazing tone.

I have no idea. I taped this off a TV show that used to air late nights in the Detroit area on a VHS tape. This is a VHS copy, that's why it's rough. It's very old.

I noticed that in a lot of the videos from the album "Vital Signs" I see Gordan Kennedy instead of Dan Huff.
