2) White Lies was a one piece band consisting of Haydé Walraet from Belgium. Currently known as Haydé. She had her small claim to fame with her cover of the Kaiser Chiefs' song, "Heat Dies Down" which was accepted as a heart warming cover considering Haydé had minimal live footage to work with to re-interpret it her own way.
She also covered the Little Man Tate song "You And Me Might Be Alright, You Know" which used the same technique of acoustic guitar, layered, precious vocals and simple harmonies throughout.
But she is not just a cover artist, Haydé also writes her own songs and released a demo of seven of them in the latter half of 2006. Her style is often simple and laid back with songs to calm the mind and ease you into the day. Her demo was again confronted with good press who saw her demo as a humane approach to life from the eyes of a young girl.
3) White Lies was an Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom based alternative rock band. The first years of the bands career, they were going under the name Rota. In 2004 the band released their self-titled album White Lies, having received positive reviews. Although in 2005 the band went its seperate ways, with each member having his own new band.

I'm gonna settle down slow
Down to the home of
Electric life and soul
Faith
In my hands a trait
But for the word I
And you can get me work
But I can't work for free
I've got a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
If you can raise a star
From garbage on the street
Then you can make a modern life
For a modern girl to lead
Alone
I feel alone
When I'm living in a building
Like a tooth in heaven's throat
True
It's a beautiful view
But you know they're gonna set it on fire
When they feel like something new
And you can get me work
But I can't work for free
I've got a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
If you can raise a star
From garbage on the street
Then you can make a modern life
For a modern girl to lead
But why can't anything be real?
Emotion like the movies feel
?
So bring me to the hand of fate
The river on a new
So I can wash the empty hours away
But why can't anything be real?
Emotion like the movies feel
So bring me to the hand of fate
The river on a new arcade
And you can get me work
But I can't work for free
I've got a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
If you can raise a star
From garbage on the street
Then you can make a modern life
For a modern girl to lead
Cause I'm living in a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
Cause I'm living in a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
Cause I'm living in a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
Cause I'm living in a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
Cause I'm living in a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
Cause I'm living in a room downtown
With a bed and a big TV
The lyrics to White Lies's song "Big TV" describe the struggle of living in a big city where one can feel alone despite the constant hustle and bustle. The first verse speaks of the desire to slow down and settle down in a place that embodies "electric life and soul." The second verse references the difficulty of finding work and the need to compromise for the sake of survival. The chorus repeats the line "cause I'm living in a room downtown with a bed and a big TV," which speaks to the simplicity of life and the importance of having a space to call one's own.
The third verse highlights the paradox of living in a beautiful place where one knows it can easily be destroyed or replaced for the sake of something newer and more exciting. The bridge repeats the question "why can't anything be real?", highlighting a sense of disillusionment and a yearning for deeper connections and emotions. The final chorus encourages the idea that even in the midst of living in a simple space, one can still create a modern life.
