2) White Lies was a one piece band consisting of Haydé Walraet from Belgium. Currently known as Haydé. She had her small claim to fame with her cover of the Kaiser Chiefs' song, "Heat Dies Down" which was accepted as a heart warming cover considering Haydé had minimal live footage to work with to re-interpret it her own way.
She also covered the Little Man Tate song "You And Me Might Be Alright, You Know" which used the same technique of acoustic guitar, layered, precious vocals and simple harmonies throughout.
But she is not just a cover artist, Haydé also writes her own songs and released a demo of seven of them in the latter half of 2006. Her style is often simple and laid back with songs to calm the mind and ease you into the day. Her demo was again confronted with good press who saw her demo as a humane approach to life from the eyes of a young girl.
3) White Lies was an Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom based alternative rock band. The first years of the bands career, they were going under the name Rota. In 2004 the band released their self-titled album White Lies, having received positive reviews. Although in 2005 the band went its seperate ways, with each member having his own new band.

It feels like coming home to stay
Like falling in the sea when it's too hot in the sun
Made things so much worse today
I know you said you'll miss me
But I know that you won't
Because time is like a wave, that washes the pain away
I know I said I'll see you
When it gets to New Year
But now that all the rain stopped falling
All I think is getting out of here
I felt loved last night for the first time in a long time
It feels like I never went away
Like drifting back to sleep when I'm aching and I'm tired
Made me feel so much worse today
[Chorus]
I know I'd be welcome but tell me how far
Ceremonial knocks sound the gaps in my heart-beat
And I'll never be good enough for you or for me
I've buried my pride, I've buried my key
I felt loved last night for the first time in a long time
It feels like coming home to stay
Like falling in the sea when it's too hot in the sun
Made things so much worse today
I know you said you'll miss me
But I know that you won't
Because time is lie a wave, that washes the pain away
When you come down
I know I said I'll see you
When it gets to New Year
But now that all the rain stopped falling
All I think is getting out of here
I felt loved last night for the first time in a long time
It feels like I never went away
Like drifting back to sleep when I'm aching and I'm tired
Made me feel so much worse today
[Chorus]
I know I'd be welcome but tell me how far
Ceremonial knocks sound the gaps in my heart-beat
And I'll never be good enough for you or for me
I've buried my pride, I've buried my key (Repeats)
[Chorus]
The song "Come Down" by White Lies is a melancholic track that deals with the complexities and struggles of love and relationships. The song paints a picture of a protagonist who experienced a moment of love and comfort, but that feeling only made their pain and loneliness feel more stark as they contrast those feelings with their current state. The lyrics "I felt loved last night for the first time in a long time, it feels like coming home to stay" describe the singer's moment of love and comfort. However, the next lyric, "like falling in the sea when it's too hot in the sun made things so much worse today," conveys that despite the temporary comfort, the singer is still struggling with their pain and loneliness, and that moment of comfort only makes those feelings more pronounced. The singer expresses their desire to leave their current situation, which highlights their need to escape their troubles and the possibility of moving away from the person they love. The song's chorus emphasizes the idea that time can eventually ease pain when it is allowed to wash over it.
The second verse of the song emphasizes the emotional pain that the singer is going through; the lyrics "Like drifting back to sleep when I'm aching and I'm tired, made me feel so much worse today" describe how the singer is grappling with their emotional pain and how it is affecting them. The song's chorus reiterates the theme of dealing with emotional pain, with the lyrics "because time is like a wave that washes the pain away when you come down." Ultimately, the lyrics convey a sense of longing for relief from emotional pain, but also an understanding that that relief may not come easily.

This has to be my favorite song by White Lies ;3 It is so meaningful and beautiful. 'I know you said you'll miss me, but i know that you won't. 'Cause time is like a wave that washes all the pain away, when you come down. I know i said i'll see you, when it gets to New Year. But now that all the rain stopped falling, all i think is getting out of here.' I also love the higher part at 3:10, it really makes this song!! â„Harry McVeighâ„Charles Caveâ„Jack Lawrence-Brownâ„
