2) White Lies was a one piece band consisting of Haydé Walraet from Belgium. Currently known as Haydé. She had her small claim to fame with her cover of the Kaiser Chiefs' song, "Heat Dies Down" which was accepted as a heart warming cover considering Haydé had minimal live footage to work with to re-interpret it her own way.
She also covered the Little Man Tate song "You And Me Might Be Alright, You Know" which used the same technique of acoustic guitar, layered, precious vocals and simple harmonies throughout.
But she is not just a cover artist, Haydé also writes her own songs and released a demo of seven of them in the latter half of 2006. Her style is often simple and laid back with songs to calm the mind and ease you into the day. Her demo was again confronted with good press who saw her demo as a humane approach to life from the eyes of a young girl.
3) White Lies was an Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom based alternative rock band. The first years of the bands career, they were going under the name Rota. In 2004 the band released their self-titled album White Lies, having received positive reviews. Although in 2005 the band went its seperate ways, with each member having his own new band.

In my dreams I'm there
I always hoped that I'd learn how to fly
In my dreams I'm there
You can tie my hands to the walls
But you can't tie my dreams to this place
I might fall like a rock from your heart
Fate always loses hope
Like electric sparks in my heart
Fate always loses hope
Now be a good girl and do what you're told
If you tell me to jump then I'll die
In my dreams I'm there
I always hoped that I'd learn how to fly
In my dreams I'm there
I leave my memoirs in blood on the floor
And my fears with the nurse on the stairs
I'm only going where you'll be some day
So don't say rest in peace in your prayers
Fate always loses hope
Like electric sparks in my heart
Fate always loses hope
Now be a good girl and do what you're told
I hope you remember me
I hope you never pretend for me
I hope you remember me
I hope you
Fate always loses hope
Like electric sparks in my heart
Fate always loses hope
Now be a good girl and do what you're told
I hope you remember me
I hope you never pretend for me
I hope you remember me
I hope you never forget about me
I hope you remember me
I hope you never pretend for me
I hope you remember me
I hope you
The lyrics of White Lies's song, E.S.T., tell a story of someone who is being forced to do something against their will. The repeated phrase "if you tell me to jump, then I'll die" shows the gravity of the situation and the importance of this decision. The lyrics also mention dreams and flying, which in a metaphorical sense, could represent the hope and desire for something better. The person feels trapped and tied down, but their dreams are free and unbounded. The line "you can tie my hands to the walls, but you can't tie my dreams to this place" is a powerful statement of their determination to break free.
The lyrics also mention fate losing hope, suggesting that the person feels helpless and at the mercy of their circumstances. The line "now be a good girl and do what you're told" is particularly chilling, as it reinforces the notion that the person has no control over their own life. The final lines of the song express the person's desire to not be forgotten and to be remembered for who they truly are.
Overall, the lyrics of E.S.T. convey a feeling of desperation and a longing for freedom. The metaphorical references to dreams and flying create a sense of hope, but the reality of the situation is stark and inescapable.
