2) White Lies was a one piece band consisting of Haydé Walraet from Belgium. Currently known as Haydé. She had her small claim to fame with her cover of the Kaiser Chiefs' song, "Heat Dies Down" which was accepted as a heart warming cover considering Haydé had minimal live footage to work with to re-interpret it her own way.
She also covered the Little Man Tate song "You And Me Might Be Alright, You Know" which used the same technique of acoustic guitar, layered, precious vocals and simple harmonies throughout.
But she is not just a cover artist, Haydé also writes her own songs and released a demo of seven of them in the latter half of 2006. Her style is often simple and laid back with songs to calm the mind and ease you into the day. Her demo was again confronted with good press who saw her demo as a humane approach to life from the eyes of a young girl.
3) White Lies was an Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom based alternative rock band. The first years of the bands career, they were going under the name Rota. In 2004 the band released their self-titled album White Lies, having received positive reviews. Although in 2005 the band went its seperate ways, with each member having his own new band.

That's the nightmare I've been running from
So let me hold you in my arms a while
I was always careless as a child
And there's a part of me that still believes
My soul will soar above the trees
But a desperate fear flows through my blood
Let's grow old together and die at the same time
Let's grow old together and die at the same time
I said I've got no time, I have to go
And I was more right than I will ever know
He said my heart is faded, well mine's regret
And left him crying next to the chapel steps
Let's grow old together and die at the same time
Let's grow old together and die at the same time
He said, let's grow old together and die at the same time
Let's grow old together and die at the same time
He said
He said to lose my life or lose my love
That's the nightmare I've been running from
So let me hold you in my arms a while (let's grow old together and die at the same time)
I was always careless as a child
There's a part of me that still believes (let's grow old together and die at the same time)
My soul will soar above the trees
A desperate fear flows through my blood (he said, let's grow old together and die at the same time)
A dead love's buried beneath the mud
A desperate fear flows through my blood (let's grow old together and die at the same time)
A dead love's buried beneath the mud
The lyrics to White Lies's song To Lose My Life offer a poignant and reflective exploration of the fear of losing either life or love. The singer expresses his desire to hold onto the love he has, but struggles with the fear of losing it. He confesses that there is a part of him that still believes in the possibility of his soul soaring above the trees, but also admits that there is a desperate fear that a dead love is buried beneath the mud. The melancholic tone of the song is characterized by the repetition of the phrase, "Let's grow old together and die at the same time" which reflects a desire for shared experiences and a fear of separation.
The lyrics express the vulnerability and fragility in the concept of love, leaving the singer feeling helpless and lost. The chorus' simple melody and repetition create the feeling of inevitability, as if they are resigned to an unavoidable end. The use of metaphors, such as "soul soaring above the trees," highlights a hope for something more beyond the fear of love lost.
Overall, the lyrics to To Lose My Life demonstrate the universal struggle of loving someone fully, but also experiencing the fear and vulnerability that comes with it. They offer a raw and honest reflection on the desire for shared experiences, the fear of separation and the acceptance of inevitable endings.

Let's grow old together, and die at the same time. Such a powerful line. Not only because it is the ultimate thing to say to a significant other. It also signifies the fear of losing someone. You want to spend your life with someone, but only if you die at the same time. So you dont experience the loss of that person.
