In 1991, after the recording of its first demo-tape, White Skull was noticed by the audience and the specialized Italian metal press. White Skull then contributed to two Heavy Metal compilation:
* "Nightpieces 4" (in January 1995) and "Area Sismica" (in June 1995).

Half Moon Path
White Skull Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Across mountains and precipices
They wandered to know the truth
The bard, the madman and the old priest
Were following that secret terrible sound
Echoes of drums in the night
Fear that grinds your heart and your soul
Thousand shields and thousand swords
In the silence can you hear that roar
The rise of the power of almighty Rome
In the silence can you hear that roar
Coming in the night across the half moon path
Trembling with fear they started a restless run
To warn the chiefs of the coming threat
But a cursed fate hung over their heads
Soon the way was lost
One by one they fall in to a nightmare
Evil spirits around the trees
Paralyzed by that awful visions
Their eyes saw the village burn
In the silence
In the night
Hundred warriors
Across the half moon path
The lyrics of White Skull's song Half Moon Path describe the journey of three individuals - the bard, the madman, and the old priest - who set out to discover the truth by following a secret sound that leads them through mountains and precipices. They hear echoes of drums in the night, and with fear filling their hearts, they realize that an invasion is near. They sound the alarm to warn the chiefs of the impending threat, but they soon get lost on their journey. One by one, they fall into a nightmare, seeing evil spirits around trees, and finally, the village burns before their eyes.
The lyrics suggest a narrative of bravery, adventure, and tragedy. The three individuals embark on a mission despite the odds, driven by the desire to reveal the truth. However, their journey ends in horror and suffering. The song's themes of bravery, truth-seeking, and loss make it a powerful commentary on the value of knowledge and its quest.
