I Keep Prayin'
Whitecross Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
There are days I feel so alone
There’s been times when looking for answers
You would call and I’d hang up the phone
When I get to the place that makes me bend my knee
I know I’ve got to stay in your presence until I’m free
I keep praying that I’ll never give in
To all the fears and the doubts that I feel
I keep praying that I’ll never give up
Cause I know in my heart that your power is real
Days go by and people are hurting
Lost in sin, they need to see you
How your heart aches for the lonely
If only we would reach up to you
When I get to the place that makes me bend my knee
I know I’ve got to stay in your presence until I’m free
I keep praying that I’ll never give in
To all the things that I see in my way
I keep praying and I’ll never give up
You’re the one that brings a new day
The song "I Keep Prayin'" by Whitecross is a heartfelt testimony of the struggles that come with being a human being. The chorus of the song focuses on the power of prayer and how it can help one overcome fears and doubts. The second verse talks about the struggles of other people, the pain and loneliness that they experience, and emphasizes how important it is to reach out to God.
The song is a powerful reminder of the importance of prayer and faith. It also talks about the struggles that come with maintaining one's faith in the face of difficult circumstances. The lyrics portray a progression from a place of discouragement to a place of hope, demonstrating how perseverance in prayer can make a positive difference in one's life.

God has always been good to me and answered my prayers that I have seen and read through news magazines, Jesus does the works and Jesus is my Big Brother, my savior, hero in my life God wants to show you and me, all of humanity that God is a real God, but many try to be God without God !!!! let God be and be God in your life it is best for man and for you !!!

My favorite Whitecross tune, That guitar solo playing out at the end of the song is superb. I used to play this song on repeat during my youth. I think it’s how I survived high school, lol. Such a haunting and beautiful tune. Again, the guitar solo is a work of art. Really accents the song perfectly.
