i'd never heard wiegedood's music, so this album was really a surprise to me. having listened to a lot of death metal and grind in the past, black metal is still in a much unexplored vault to me. with that said, this album seems to me like a good gateway to those who know little about contemporary black metal and want to delve into this genre. some of the guitar leads and the palm muted riffs reminded me of some early techinical death metal stuff. great record!
