Don't Stop
Wigmore Gin Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
To make me happily ever-after
Twinkle toes, I'm glad you shot your bowl
Into the arms of my savior
Can I say that I am somebody's world?
How do I live alone with nowhere to go?
I say I love you
My one and only
I can't lose
So don't stop doing what you're doing
Have I paid my dues just to be with you?
Don't stop doing what you're doing
I will be your something when you're bottled and blue
Don't stop doing what you're doing
'Cause that makes you my man
Gatekeeper, I am down on my knees
I need your keys to free my stranger
Gatekeeper, I will knock down your door
And I don't care if you call yourself the Reaper (the Reaper)
Tick-tock clock, I say bye-bye
I found a reason to be done with time
I say I love you
And I say it more
My one and only
I can't lose
So don't stop doing what you're doing
Have I paid my dues just to be with you?
Don't stop doing what you're doing
I will be your something when you're bottled and blue
Don't stop doing what you're doing
'Cause that makes you my man
Can't you understand
That, baby, you're my man?
I say I love you
And I say it more
My one and only
I can't lose
No, don't stop being what you be
Doing what you do
Don't stop being you
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Don't stop
No, I can't
No, I can't lose you
So don't stop doing what you're doing
Have I paid my dues just to be with you?
Don't stop doing what you're doing
I will be your something when you're bottled and blue
Don't stop doing what you're doing
Don't stop doing what you're doing
So, don't stop doing what you're doing
'Cause that makes you my man
The lyrics of Wigmore Gin's song "Don't Stop" appear to describe a deep and unconditional love. The singer addresses her lover, whom she calls "Twinkle toes," and tells him that he has found her soul and made her feel "happily ever after." She proclaims her devotion to him and says that she loves him more than he knows. She promises to be there for him always, even when he is feeling down or "bottled and blue." She asks if she can say that she is "somebody's world" and wonders how she could live alone if he were not there with her.
The lyrics also contain references to the "Gatekeeper" and the "Reaper," which seem to symbolize the forces that stand between the singer and her lover. The Gatekeeper is asked to "free [her] stranger" and give her the keys to unlock her potential with her lover. The Reaper is dismissed as irrelevant, as the singer declares that she does not care what he calls himself.
In the chorus, the singer begs her lover not to stop doing what he is doing, because it is what makes him her man. She expresses her gratitude for having found him and says that she has paid her dues to be with him. Ultimately, she declares that her love for him is so strong that she cannot imagine losing him.
Overall, the lyrics of "Don't Stop" by Wigmore Gin are a heartfelt expression of love and devotion. They describe the singer's deep bond with her partner, who has brought her happiness and meaning in life. The song seems to assert that true love is worth fighting for, even if it means overcoming obstacles and facing one's fears.

She won a major songwriting contest here in the United States when she was a teenager. She is amazing. Pretty good promoter as well!
This song was used by Lowes to tell customers to never stop remodeling and improving their homes. Her first hit "Man Like That" had her starring in Heineken beer's cross promotion with 007 and Skyfall. It's a REALLY good ad! "Oh My" is also the theme song to the TV show "Almighty Johnsons!"
I've never heard her sing a bad song!

She has captured the 20's burlesque persona completely. Expressing the Charleston via her voice, and the Jazz Age through her countenance... The almost intentional seeming accidental flirtation with every listener. WOW!
