The four boys of Wild Beasts aren’t concerned with being of the modern or being of the renaissance, being baggy pantsed or being tight pantsed, being in a scene or being in a place. Wild Beasts’ music just is.
On 25 September 2017, the band announced that they were disbanding, playing their final gig on 17 February 2018.

It's real, it's real, let your love be the proof
I can tell that it's the truth, that fear
That fear, there's a beauty out there,
You just gotta know where, it's there
Yeah, let your loving be the proof
I can tell that it's the truth, that fear, that fear
At some point, you're a fool tryna run
Yeah, couldn't show you where
At some point, you're a fool tryna run
So the dream that I buried you too deep
Yeah, you go blanking in the sun
I can tell that you're the one
By the feel, I feel
A simple, beautiful love is worth countless
Trials by this fear, by this fear
Unless you are,
Yeah, let your loving be the proof
I can tell that it's the truth, that fear, that fear
Yeah, couldn't show you where
At some point, you're a fool tryna run
Yeah, couldn't show you where
At some point, you're a fool tryna run
"A Simple Beautiful Truth" by Wild Beasts is a song about love, fear, and acceptance. The lyrics discuss the idea of letting one's love be the proof of its authenticity, rather than hiding behind pretense. The fear of vulnerability can be paralyzing, but the song encourages listeners to embrace the beauty that exists beyond it. The singer suggests that love is worth enduring countless trials, even fear, to reach a simple, beautiful truth.
Throughout the song, the lyrics repeat the same refrain, "Yeah, let your loving be the proof, I can tell that it's the truth, that fear, that fear, yeah couldn't show you where, at some point, you're a fool tryna run." This repetition emphasizes that the message of the song is one that needs to be internalized and lived. The singer acknowledges that love is a risk, and at times it may seem easier to run from it, but ultimately, it is worth staying the course.
One interpretation of the line "So the dream that I buried you too deep, yeah, you go blanking in the sun, I can tell that you're the one, by the feel, I feel" is that the singer has been in a relationship that they didn't fully understand or appreciate until it was too late. The other person, the one they buried deep, now seems visible and clear in the light of day. They recognize that they were the right person all along, but it took time for the singer to accept it.

“Woman we don't need to pretend anymore
It's real, it's real!
Let your loving be the proof I can tell that it's the truth
That feel, that feel!
There's a beauty out there you just gotta know where
It's there, yeah!
Let your loving be the proof I can tell that it's the truth
That feel, that feel!
Yeah gunna show you where
A simple beautiful truth
Sober dream thought I buried you too deep
Yet, yet!
You come blinking in the sun I can tell that you're the one
That feel, that feel!
A simple beautiful love is worth countless triumphs
When it's real, when it's real
Let your loving be the proof I can tell that it's the truth
That feel, that feel!
Yeah gunna show you where
A simple beautiful truth”

Worst part is that so many proclaim "ther's no good music left," because they're journey relied on "mainstream outlets" exclusively to expose them to true talent - failing themselves and allowing artistry of this magnitude to wither and dissolve into even greater obscurity than they "enjoyed" during their hayday 🤯which is more a waste than remotely astonishing
