The four boys of Wild Beasts aren’t concerned with being of the modern or being of the renaissance, being baggy pantsed or being tight pantsed, being in a scene or being in a place. Wild Beasts’ music just is.
On 25 September 2017, the band announced that they were disbanding, playing their final gig on 17 February 2018.

Be there, not anybody understand
The wings are tongue that we speaking
No wilds got that ...but baby I got
Not anybody will understand
'Cause soon you tell me that I was to warn you
As I blind spark you got me in the
'Cause so you'll say me that you love so
Speak to me, yeah, talk, when you wanna go
Speak to me young talker
When I tell you what that was
'Cause soldiers are here to watch you
There's a blind spark that I have get to
That soldiers you see like an obstacles
Breath and say come feel that could be yours
The song "Pregnant Pause" by Wild Beasts is a complex and layered piece of music with equally intricate lyrics that require careful analysis. The lyrics suggest a dangerous and passionate relationship between two people, one that the singer wants to make memorable. The phrase "dangerous make it good" implies that the relationship is perhaps harmful, but the singer wants to make the most of it anyway. The repetition of the phrase "not anybody will understand" suggests that the relationship is perhaps taboo or unconventional in some way, and the singer is urging their partner to embrace their passion regardless of what others may think.
The reference to "wings" suggests that the singer and their partner are metaphorically flying together, soaring on the wings of their love. The line "no wilds got that... but baby I got" implies that the passion between the two is something special and unique, something that they share and cherish. The repeated references to "soldiers" and "obstacles" suggest that there are outside forces trying to keep the couple apart or bring them down, but they are determined to persevere.
