I want to samba
I want to party
I want to samba
I want to party
And live my life (Pedro: live my life)
I want to party (party)
Imma fly, fly just like a bird
(But you are a bird!)
Oh yeah, you're right,
So let me fly just like a rocket, then (ok)
Fly so high where I need to come down for oxygen
Cause once we start it, baby, ain't no ain't no stoppin' then
Cause I just want to live my life, and party
All I want is to be free, and rock my body
Ain't nowhere around the world that I want to live my life
In Rio
Cause in Rio
In Rio, I realize
I want to party (party)
I want to samba (party)
I want to party (party)
And fly
I'm that samba, samba
Master, master, master
Master, master
Who shouts out?
Imma get your blaster, blaster,
Blaster, blaster, blaster
You dance fast,
But I dance faster, faster, faster
Faster, faster
You're too slow
You need to catch up
You can dance, and dance, but I...
I want to party (party)
I want to samba (party)
I want to party (party)
I want to samba (party)
I want to party (party)
And live my life (live my life)
I want to party (party)
And fly
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Laya
Hey
Laya
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
These lyrics, from Will Kimbrough's song "Wings," are all about living life to the fullest and enjoying oneself. The first verse repeats the desire to party and samba, both of which are associated with the lively and festive culture of Brazil. The singer wants to live their life free and with abandon, flying high like a bird or rocket. They proclaim that once they start partying, nothing can stop them, and they want to be free and rock their body.
The chorus repeats the desire to party and samba, with added emphasis on wanting to fly. There is a reference to needing oxygen once the singer starts flying too high, indicating that they want to go as high as possible. Rio de Janeiro is mentioned as a place where the singer wants to live their life - this might be because of its well-known Carnival celebrations, which feature plenty of partying and samba.
The second verse breaks into a rap-like section, with the singer calling themselves the "samba master" and proclaiming that they can dance faster than anyone else. They want to party, samba, and presumably impress others with their dance moves.
Overall, the lyrics are all about embracing life and having a good time, with a strong emphasis on dancing and partying. The references to Rio and samba give the song a distinctly Brazilian flavor.
