Pure And Crisp and BEAUTIFUL!
@RatPfink66
This session was on a CD on the Circle label, along with a Red Nichols ET date from '36. This 1933-34 edition was easily Osborne's best band, but he soon enough junked it for the "slide trombone music," a little more swingy, but just ok ensemble-wise.
@jlassie
Wow, Osborne's voice is so much clearer on a transcription than any of his commercial recordings. That early '30s ARC studio sound just drowns out all the subtleties of a recording. The acoustics make all the difference. The same goes for the rhythm section. On this transcrip., you can actually hear the DRUMS!
@roybo1930
I think this is among his most BEAUTIFUL works ever! And I would take this over the "slide trombone music" anyday!!!! Thanks for the responce and the wonderful info.
@WillAdamsmusic
Absolutely Wonderful!!!

I Truly LOVE These Transcription recordings!

What a pity that all the commercial recordings of the early 30s weren't this quality..
