William S. Burroughs Brion Gysin & Genesis P-Orridge Lyrics

I'd align them with your heart
Stay, this will only take a moment
Girl, I don't wanna see us falling apart
Stars colliding
When you're hiding away
You're the moon and all the stars in the sky
When you're with me
It's ecstasy
So go ahead and take my heart
You're beautiful
We can be more than just enough
Let's fall in love
If I could move the stars
I would align them with your heart
So I could find you in the dark
And we would never be apart
Don't be afraid
I'll keep you safe my treasure
Just say my name
And I'll be yours forever
So go ahead and take my heart
You're beautiful
We can be more than just enough let's fall in love
If I could move the stars
I would align them with your heart
So I could find you in the dark
And we would never be apart
I was caught up in the moment
Didn't wanna hear you saying good bye
Took your promise and you broke it
But you're still the brightest star in the sky
If I could move the stars
I would align them with your heart
So I could find you in the dark
And we would never be apart
If I could move the stars
I would align them with your heart
So I could find you in the dark
And we would never be apart
The song "Part 1" by William S. Burroughs, Brion Gysin, and Genesis P-Orridge is a romantic love ballad about the desire to keep a relationship together. The opening lines express the desire to move the stars and align them with the heart of the one they love. This represents the overwhelming feeling of being in love and the willingness to do anything to keep that love alive. The chorus repeats this idea, emphasizing the longing for the two lovers to never be apart. The verses describe the singer's devotion to the subject of the song, comparing them to the moon and stars, the brightest objects in the sky.
The bridge of the song takes a turn, expressing the fear of losing the one they love. The singer acknowledges that promises have been broken, but even so, the subject of the song remains the brightest star in the sky. The song ends with a final declaration of love and the repeated desire to align the stars with the heart of the beloved. This song is a beautiful expression of the power of love and the desire to keep the flame of a relationship burning bright.

I have that copy of RE. Those books were so important to me growing up in a pre-internet time. It's comforting when you realise that other people share the same interests. I first discovered William Burroughs through the Beatles as he's on the cover of 'Sgt Peppers' and I'm fortunate enough to have a dad who is an old hippy who was into the 'Beat Generation' :-)

Good find! I listened to this a while back, but I never read the description before. Where did you find the tape?
Re/Search books are awesome. I've only had the opportunity to read the one on Modern Primitives, which also has a great interview with GPO and was a big influence on my psychic development. It was at a library in a town where I used to live. It also had interviews with Fakir Musafar, Manwoman, and some other very insightful freaks. I just found the Re/Search Industrial Culture Handbook here: https://archive.org/details/ReSearchIndustrialCultureHandbook

I just dug out all my RE material the other week. RE (and Vague) were/are great publications. When you lived in the middle of nowhere in the 80's it was great to know that other people shared my interests.
