Willie Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Started with red, she was 10
I cannot stand to see a scoop that man
Tell me momma, can I scoop for you

If you don't believe I'll scoop you right
Take me to your house and let me spend the night
Come on baby can I scoop for you
Oh mama I'll scoop for you
Dirty mama I wanna scoop for you
Tell me baby can I scoop for you

Scoopy mama you drive me wild
Scoopy honey in the latest style
Come on baby can I scoop you

All three bottle of liquor four bottle of gin
You can't scoop you can't come in
Come on mama can I scoop you

Well mama can I scoop for you
Pretty mama can I scoop for you
Tell me baby can I scoop for you

Oh baby let me scoop for you
Pretty mama can I scoop for you
Come honey let your daddy scoop for you

Oh man old man I want your daughter
Scooping all day for a dollar and a quarter
Come on baby can I scoop for you

I'll scoop until it's spring
Tell me pretty mama can you scoop that thing
Tell me baby can I scoop for you

Oh mama let me scoop for you
Sugar let me scoop for you
Come on baby can I scoop for you

I ain't scooping nothing till we at four
Get you shaking like a cannonball
Come on baby can I scoop for you

Oh sugar let me scoop for you
Baby can I scoop for you
Come on mama can I scoop for you

Ah pretty mama can I scoop for you
Show you I can scoop for you
Come on baby can I scoop for you

Well peaches in a tim half on the shelf
Can't do the scoop mama by myself
Come on baby can I scoop for you

Oh baby let me scoop for you

Sugar let me scoop for you
Come on mama can I scoop for you

Flatline T M I sent you a text earlier.

Just wanted to let you know I'm also from Chi town, Westside!

Man, growing up in the hood all our Mom's banded together and took care of us!

There's alot to be said about the environment we grew up in, and most not good!

But, as I've read what you've expressed it's a true testament to our mothers raising us to love and not have racially motivated hate, even though the deck was stacked against us all because we had so little!

I can remember bringing my children, who are all now young adults back to my area which was Spaulding, Ogden, Christiana, 19th Street, Kedzie, etc.

They couldn't believe the area I grew up in. The four family apartment building was gone with just a vacant lot with a little grass remaining, but the one thing I wanted them all to realize was that, "Although We Lived In The Ghetto/Hood, we had more love for one another in those areas, that outsiders would never ever understand"!

That was because of our mothers and what they taught us!

Our Dad's were dealt a raw deal and that's a whole nother story.

In the hood we shared everything, from vacuum cleaners to food to cleaning agents, you name it, but the key was we were all willing to help each other because we didn't have much.

It was really SPECIAL, but once again, it was because of our Mom's and what they taught us.

Those were, without a doubt, valuable life lessons that we learned from them while under very harsh and less than ideal circumstances.

We were very thankful to have these Special Women in our lives.

@cwvos

Flatline T M excellent paragraph describing a Wonderful Woman!

I'm sure many appreciate your honest and heartfelt thoughts, and very much think of their Mom's in the same way.

I know that I do, for sure!

Much Love and peace to you and your family Brother.

Take care ...

@cwvos

Vanessa, it's hard not too!

When you listen to Willie Hutch and the way he sung this song, in relation to the millions of Moms, "I'm sure like yourself", it's only natural to share or express emotions.

Who wouldn't cry or shed a tear when listening to this!

When you've had someone that's cared and loved you your whole life, that's just part of honest, heartfelt feelings that can't be held back and flows based off of what's seen or in this case Heard...

Nothing wrong with the expression of honest emotions.

Mothers do that to us! If not right now then one day if you have children, I'm sure they'll feel about you the same way...

@cwvos

This is such a heart ❤️ loving song that epitomizes exactly how everyone should feel about their mother.

Caucasian, African American, Mexican, Asian, etc.

It doesn't matter what Race, Color, or Creed!

Mothers are all of our sources of life and should be the center of our Worlds!

We can never Ever repay them for all that they've done for us and our families Unconditionally!

Although this song is being expressed and sung so eloquently by Mr. Hutch, it is a song attributed to a sad set of circumstances resulting in a loving Mom's loss of life in the film, it should be, and is perfectly suited to apply to every Mom in the world.

The Beautiful harmony of the female Vocals and stringed instruments and overall sound in this track are heavenly!

To those Loving Moms we've lost who have past and to those Loving Moms who are still here with us presently.
Thank You for all your Sincere
Unconditional Love and Care!

"Much, Much, Much Love to The Most Valued and Gifted Earthly Creation Ever"!

To All Our Dear and Precious Moms 💕💞💞💞❤️!!!...
