Bare the weightless lines
Remember me
The wires
They cut our wires away
And oh
We all start getting worried
We all start getting worried
And oh
We all start getting worried
Settle into orbiting
Bare the weightless lines
Remember me
The wires
They cut our wires away
And oh
We all start getting worried
And oh
We all start getting worried
And oh
We all start getting worried
Spectral light and sutter click
Bare the weightless lines
Remember me
The wires
They cut our wires away
And oh
We all start getting worried
And oh
We all start getting worried
And oh
We all start getting worried
Stand up sleep in science seams
Bare the weightless lines
Remember me
The wires
They cut our wires away
And oh
We all start getting worried
And oh
We all start getting worried
And oh
We all start getting worried
The lyrics to Windmill's song "Shuttle" describe a sense of anxiety and fear surrounding an astronaut's journey in space. The repeated lines of "And oh, we all start getting worried" emphasizes the uncertainty and danger of space travel. The image of "button bash the shuttle still" suggests that the controls are being frantically manipulated in order to maintain control and safety. The phrase "bare the weightless lines" gives the impression that the astronaut is holding onto thin, fragile threads of hope for survival. The repetition of the line "remember me" amplifies the fear of being lost or forgotten in space.
The images of wires being cut away is particularly unsettling as it suggests a loss of communication or connection back to earth. The alliteration in "spectral light and stutter click" paints a vivid picture of the erratic, glitchy nature of the technology being used on the shuttle. Finally, the line "stand up sleep in science seams" creates a disorienting image of trying to sleep or rest while the very fabric of science and technology around you is in flux.

They have to be. Air isn't dense enough for wind power to make sense in terms of the upfront cost, lifetime energy output and resources that go into each turbine unless you scale them way the fuck up. Even then, ocean currents are a better source of turbine power since water is 700x denser than air.
