Been runnin? every day
The weight of the world is on my back
Feelin? the strain in every way
I begin to cry
As reality sets in, just feel like givin? in
What would you do what would you say when it all goes away?
When I am down
When it all goes astray would you fade away
Or would you be?
Would be my side show
Day goes to week and week to month
As I travel down this road
Where will we stop
Where will we get to
It seems nobody knows
And I begin to try to take one step at a time for the rest of my life
What would you do what would you say when it all goes away?
When I am down
Would you be my clown helping my get through to the other side?
When it all goes astray would you fade away
Or would you be?
Would be my side show
6am and feelin tired. Been runnin every day
And oh the weight of the world is on my back
But would you be?
When I am down
Would you be my clown helping my get through to the other side?
When it all goes astray would you fade away
Or would you be?
Would be my side show
The lyrics of Winslow's song "Side Show" speak to the emotional struggles of feeling overwhelmed and asking for help. The opening lines indicate the exhaustion of the singer, who has been running every day and carrying the weight of the world on their back. As reality sets in and they begin to cry, they wonder if those around them would stick by them when things get tough.
The chorus of the song is a plea for support in these difficult times. The singer asks if their loved ones would be their clown, helping them get through to the other side when they are feeling down. They question whether those around them would fade away when things go wrong or be a constant presence, acting as their side show.
The song highlights the importance of having a strong support system, and of being there for others when they are struggling. It speaks to the vulnerability of asking for help, and the fear of being left alone during difficult times.

Maurice has an extremely talented voice, I think there's so much potential with this band, it's just sad that neo soul music isn't that popular. People would rather listen to Rebecca Black- Friday than to a group of talented performers.
