Nerves Normal. Breath Normal
Wintersleep Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
There was violence
Words to God
There was something
I'll be calm
Like an organ
Fading out
Tired of beating
Keep it moving
Am I alive?
Am I still breathing?
Worry not...
In Wintersleep's song Nerves Normal, the lyrics speak about the turmoil that humanity is experiencing on this planet. There have been floods, violence and people still pray to God for mercy. The singer is aware of what's happening and is trying to calm down, just like an organ that's fading out. He's tired of the constant beating from the stress of modern-day living and urges himself to keep going. He questions whether he's alive or not and asks himself if he's still breathing.
The song speaks to the anxiety and the uncertainty that we all feel from time to time. It's a reflection of our desire to keep moving forward even when we don't know what the future holds. The lyrics convey a sense of distress, but there's also a message of hope to keep going and not worry too much about the unknown.
Overall, the song can be interpreted in many ways. Some may see it as a commentary on the current state of the world, while others may see it as a personal message of perseverance.
