Phoenix
Wishbone Ash䩍䑍 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Bird, rise high from the cinders, leave it all behind,
All the ruins and the fire.
Bird, raise your head from the ashes - many men lay dead.
You can see them like I.
Phoenix rise, raise your head to the sky.

Overall Meaning

The song "Phoenix" by Wishbone Ash tells the story of rebirth and renewal after destruction. The lyrics encourage the listener to rise above the ashes, leave behind the ruins and the fire, and move towards a new beginning. The imagery of the phoenix rising from the ashes is used to represent this idea of renewal, and the lyrics suggest that we can all experience this if we choose to let go of the past and embrace the future.

The first verse sets the scene for the song, with the lines "Bird, rise high from the cinders, leave it all behind, all the ruins and the fire." The bird here represents the phoenix, and the cinders and ruins symbolize the destruction left behind by a catastrophic event. The second verse refers to the many men who have died, and the bird exhorts us to "raise your head from the ashes" and see them lying there. The chorus then repeats the line "Phoenix rise, raise your head to the sky," emphasizing the theme of rebirth and renewal.

So long Nerds.

Farewell Technoblade...

"Technoblade never dies!".

Sincerely, I can't believe that the man himself is gone, I miss him already. I would have loved seeing him getting married, starting a family.

I feel like he wanted to do so much more than he ever thought he could do.

I believed that cancer would be just another stage in Alex's life, it would have a happy ending and he would just return to his normal, peaceful Minecraft YouTuber life.

In the end, even after always being so upbeat and batting against this ominous disease, The King of Minecraft succumbed to the inevitable, yet with his charisma and irreplaceable character.

Rest In Peace King, that's an easy way to call him, because we all know that "King" is not enough to describe how good of a Minecraft player and a great person he was.

I have just one thing to say...

Thank you for all that you have done technoblade. Making people happy and making people feel that they are worth trying even if we don't succeed the first tries. Respect❤️

I learned that he had passed from my sister. We were in the living when she read out an article saying that he was gone.

She didn't know who he was, so imagine her surprise when I exclaimed "he's what?!" before she finished her damn sentence.

It didn't really even hit me at first, I mean, I honestly thought that she was bullshitting me. I mean, Techno is the one guy that you'd think would beat the shit out of cancer, but sure enough.

I owe a lot to Techno. I pretty much grew up watching him, his content, streams and videos, they really helped me through some dark times. I mean I owe my sense of humor to the man.

And frankly I don't really know what else to say, other than that he really was one of the best. A great man from beginning to end. He was smart, he was talented, and he was really fucking funny.

His passing will leave a massive hole in not only the minecraft community, but the gaming community as a whole. He touched millions of people, and he will be greatly missed.

As little as my be coming from me, my heart does go out to his friends and family. I can only imagine what they're going through.

Rest in peace Techno, you are a legend.

To all those who haven't watched him: Now is the time.

Jokingly enough, he won't be producing anymore videos anytime soon..

..sadly..

But still, it's now or never to start watching him.

Watch his skyblock videos, his bedwars videos, minecraft monday, championship, the Great Potato War Saga, all manners of SMPs, his extra videos and streams..

The only way to remember a man this righteous is to carry on his legacy.

And the only way to do that..

..is binge-watching Technoblade.

Like star, he burned bright,
felt across the cosmos,
even when fading still burned the same bright light,
and even when gone that bright star light still persists,
still seen, still felt, still impacted countless people, for countless millenia to come

I wish him luck battling his way throught the afterlife to take the kingdom of the creator, he was wonderful perosn, he was amazing creator, and he is a bloody legend, and will always be these things

The king is dead, long live the king

Now I'll crawl back into my bookshelf, watch his old videos, and probably cry
