Let all of us pay homage to a wonderful piece of music from England's great guitar history. For the brave and the talent is mighty.

Martin Piasecki

They were the opening act for Chicago in Tampa, FL when I first heard them. All I could do was staned there with my mouth open. They are AMAZING.

If you're in a band these days, just try to tell your label that you have an 8-minute and 10-minute song on your new album. I bought this album in 1971 and was amazed at the guitar work on it. Sounds great even today.

Stink Fistula

just go to the left of the radio dial , their playlists will be on Spinitron , the info will include the LABEL...........it can still be done !

Pablo Malaga

@Stink Fistula Man I went to the left of the dial but most tunes are under 4 mins and are normal mainstream not extraordinarily creative

Cockney Red

what do you mean "sounds great EVEN today?"
as if the standard has risen so high that Wishbone Ash can be considered "up there?"
the standard when Wishbone Ash were producing albums like this was the highest ever, certainly in England where at the time, you HAD to be brilliant to compete so surely, the comparison must be made the other way around dont you think? And of course because todays music (largely) sucks, the comparison ends pretty damn quick.
stunning album and every bit as good as Argus in my opinion.

Phil mole

@Cockney Red you said exactly what I was thinking. If anything it sounds better today because there's so little modern rocks music that can hang with this.

One of the best ever ash songs - the time signature is mad, but also makes the song.

rturney

Yeah, 7/4 is wild.
