10. Ya Me Voy

Quizás nunca tuvo el cariño
De un padre de una madre
Que le dijera que lo quería
Que le diera un consejo en los
Momentos difíciles de su vida
Paso el tiempo
Vendiendo heroína paso a la historia
Nunca vio a su hija crecer
Porque a los 24 años lo reventaron
Ya me voy si me pasa algo
Cuida a mis hijos
Hubo un mal entendido
Reventaron a mi amigo
Ahora tengo enemigos
De frente y solo, exploto la guerra
Si me pasa algo cuida a mis hijos
Y padre ayuda a mi esposa a mi vieja y mi cría
Cuida a mis hijos
Hubo un mal entendido
Reventaron a mi amigo
Ahora tengo enemigos
De frente y solo, exploto la guerra
Si me pasa algo cuida a mis hijos
Dios mío ayúdame no quiero causar estragos
Decisiones correctas
Porque en un futuro
Tus decisiones hablarán por ti
Vale la pena lo que estas asiendo
Pregúntatelo a ti mismo
Tu familia te espera
Ha
Ya me voy si me pasa algo
Cuida a mis hijos
Hubo un mal entendido
Reventaron a mi amigo
Ahora tengo enemigos
De frente y solo exploto la guerra
Si me pasa algo cuida a mis hijos

The lyrics to Wisin and Yandel's song "Ya Me Voy" tell the story of a person who was never shown love or guidance by their parents, which led them to a life of selling heroin on the street corner. The person ends up getting caught and shot at the age of 24, leaving behind a daughter they never got to see grow up. The song speaks to the reality of a life filled with violence and danger, where the only way out seems to be to fight back and protect one's loved ones at all costs. The artists acknowledge that this is not the right way to live, but the harsh reality of the streets often leaves people with no other option.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "ya me voy," which means "I'm leaving now" or "I'm on my way," implying that the singer of the story is saying goodbye to the life they've been living and preparing to protect their family no matter what. The verses speak to the fear and tension that comes with living in a world full of danger, where taking revenge is often the only way to stay alive. The lyrics also touch on themes of regret and the possibility of redemption, with the singer acknowledging that they may not be doing the right thing but feeling like they have no choice.
