A toda esa gente humilde (Cayey!)
De pueblo
y tambien todas esas personas,
Que se creen mas que nadie
Y tu sabes algo
"Hola."
("Ah?")
Te habla el mas que vende
Cabrones, les deseo suerte
En cuatro años yo he logrado enriquecerme
Hoy te voy a cazar
La calle me desafia
Te voy asechar
Llego tu hora
Llego tu dia
Hoy te voy a cazar
La calle me desafia
Te voy asechar
Llego tu hora
Llego tu dia
Yo!

Te voy hacer pasar un maniaco
Cabron, tu eres un pelagato
Ando suelto, anestesiao
Hoy te voy a cazar
La calle me desafia

The lyrics of Wisin & Yandel's De Otra Manera speak to two distinct groups of people. The first group is those who come from humble beginnings and live in small towns, like Cayey. The second group is those who believe they are better than everyone else. The song asks both groups to come together and recognize that everyone is equal, regardless of their background or beliefs.
The lyrics begin by dedicating the song to the humble people of Cayey and all small towns, as well as to those who think they are better than others. Wisin & Yandel then send a message that all men carry the same weight and everyone should be brought down to the same level. The lyrics speak specifically to those who put themselves above others and mention the toll they must pay to cross a bridge to show that they are still part of the same community. The song then transitions to a story about chasing and hunting someone down. The lyrics suggest that the person being hunted has done something wrong or is causing trouble in the community. In the end, the song sends a message of unity and encourages everyone to come together and recognize that all people are equal.

Alex Santell
