Yandel was born on January 14, 1977 & Wisin was born on December 19, 1978. Yandel has two sons with his wife, Adrián and Derek. Wisin married his wife on July 26, 2008, in a ceremony that took place in a restaurant of Cayey, Puerto Rico. The couple have a daughter and a son, Yelena and Dylan. Yandel who was the ceremony's best man, is also the godfather of Wisin's daughter.

In the first verse of Wisin & Yandel's song La Trova, the singer is addressing a woman he notices looking at him. He invites her to come closer and dance with him, "guayando" which is a reggaeton dance move, that makes the body move down low to the ground. He compliments her appearance and the way she dances. He tells her to tell her father that Wisin & Yandel and Blass are "tremendos", which means they are fantastic or excellent. He wants to meet her and tells her that he wants to be her "reen", which could be a shortened form of "reenamorar" which means "to win over" or "to enamor" the woman. He also compliments her lingerie and the shape of her body.
In the second verse, the singer is acknowledging that the woman might think he is just a talker or a "charlatan", someone who talks big but can't back it up. He knows that she is used to being around men because of her attraction to them, but he insists that he is different from the rest. He is Puerto Rican and not Muslim, he has the strength of an orangutan, he dances like a famous person, and he is hot like a volcano. Basically, he is telling her that he has a lot to offer her and that she should give him a chance. Throughout the song, the singers repeat the phrase "guayando mueve tu cuerpo hasta abajo" which means "dancing/moving your body down low" which is a common feature in reggaeton songs and encourages people to dance.
