I have fleeting moments of clarity and inspiration, but they only come and go quickly like a passing train.

because staying out of trouble pacifies my use of comfort
I try to avoid trouble and conflict as much as possible, as it helps me feel more comfortable and at ease.

and unless i am invisible i'll take my troubles neat
I can't hide from my problems, so I'll confront them head-on and deal with them directly.

and if they beat me then i'll be beaten
If my problems and challenges are too much for me to handle, then I'll accept defeat and move on.

it's better than being denied all the troubles that are mine
It's better to face my own problems and struggles, even if it means facing defeat, than to deny them and pretend they don't exist.
