The Dark
Wolf Lyrics

Inside my darkened mind
He whispers to my ear
Come closer
My friend, this'll be the end
Heed my advice
The world is coming to an end
Black moon will rise
A vivid vision, or superstition?
I see it clearly now
It seems so real and true to me
And I believe it now
No one sees what I see
They refuse to believe
They'll be aware when the time is right
And read about my deeds
There may be shadows in my mind
But things aren't right I've seen the sign
Searching for answers in the mirror
I see a mystery
Bits and pieces coming together
In the prophecy
You know I will follow
And I don't care what they say
Lets go where you lead me
Until my final day
There may be shadows in my mind
But things aren't right I've seen the sign
I am deranged, I have lost my mind
But I know there's a hole in time
Confusion, illusion
I'll find a way to the other side
Rewind, turn back time
I'm not afraid to die
His advice is my demise
Unholy sacrifice
There may be shadows in my mind
But things aren't right I've seen the sign
Inside my mind, there may be shadows
But it's the shadows of the sign
In "The Dark", Wolf presents a tale of a person who has succumbed to the voices in their head, driven to the brink of insanity by the apocalyptic predictions whispered to them by an unseen force. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a world on the brink of destruction, with a "black moon" looming on the horizon. Despite the singer's attempts to warn others of the impending doom, they are dismissed as insane and ultimately follow the voice inside their head to their own demise.
The lyrics of "The Dark" are ripe for interpretation, with multiple layers of meaning and symbolism at play. The idea of an individual hearing voices in their head and being driven to madness is a common theme in literature and film. The song also touches on the idea of prophecy and the power of belief, with the singer convinced of their visions despite others' doubts. The chorus, with its repetition of "there may be shadows in my mind, but things aren't right I've seen the sign," highlights the idea of seeing something that others cannot, and the frustration of not being able to convince others of the truth.
One interesting aspect of "The Dark" is the use of the term "black moon". This is a rare astronomical event that occurs when there are two new moons in a single calendar month, although it is also used in astrology to refer to a new moon that falls in the sign of Scorpio. In the context of the song, it likely represents a symbol of impending doom, with the black moon signaling the end of the world.
Another possible interpretation of "The Dark" is that it is a cautionary tale about the dangers of blindly following charismatic leaders or ideologies. The singer is manipulated by the voice in their head and is willing to follow it to their own demise. The line "his advice is my demise, unholy sacrifice" highlights this idea, with the singer sacrificing their own life in service of their beliefs.

Shoutout to that one fed commander who is apparently an anime super-genius, able to tell that Monarch was alone and what kind of fuel he was burning based solely on the sound of his engines.

@mill 27 I had no idea what might happen, I was just thinking that there was no way this guy wasn't about to become a Federation hero. A miniboss maybe? Apparently he was just overqualified for his job.

@Naggie and then there's merc difficulty where you have to shoot down some aircruisers while 15-20 planes are on your six
Naggie
Or you do it how I did. Get the SK.25U, load up every slot with MLAGs and dodge approximately all the missiles in the country while not actually shooting down any planes. Good times.

Oh, there are witnesses! Not just living ones.
