Despite his short life, his rapid pace of composition resulted in more than 800 works of virtually every Western classical genre of his time. Many of these compositions are acknowledged as pinnacles of the symphonic, concertante, chamber, operatic, and choral repertoire. Mozart is widely regarded as among the greatest composers in the history of Western music, with his music admired for its "melodic beauty, its formal elegance and its richness of harmony and texture".
Born in Salzburg, then in the Holy Roman Empire and currently in Austria, Mozart showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty. His father took him on a grand tour of Europe and then three trips to Italy. At 17, he was a musician at the Salzburg court but grew restless and traveled in search of a better position.
While visiting Vienna in 1781, Mozart was dismissed from his Salzburg position. He stayed in Vienna, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years there, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, and operas. His Requiem was largely unfinished by the time of his death at the age of 35, the circumstances of which are uncertain and much mythologized.

Yep. This has to be one of the highest achievements of piano music ever. Not a single note out of place. That man simply had a divine mind.
@rogernichols1124
Underrated compositions that span the emotional heights and depths. The apparent simplicity belies truly profound inspiration.

This sonata and the K.448 (for 2 Pianos - 1784) are my 2 favourite Mozart's piano sonatas. I like many of this pieces, but these 2 pieces are my favourites!

13:11 the minor key passages in his major key works are always the most beautiful things

How many times did I say "thank you" under your Mozart uploads? Not enough I think - so I thank you once again. Wonderful.
@laurenth7187
But this could already be a romantic piece, a better as Beethoven sonata for example. Mozart was better on orchestra compositions, than for the piano. I just checked out the 2nd volume of sonatas.

@Laurent H ...are you considering what you have just written?
Please do yourself a favour and check again.

@vittorio marano Hum don't forget that G Gould said, Mozart died to late... i really like only a few of he's sonatas, played by Mitsuko Uchida. As youngster we heard often his operas, so i thought yes, that's Mozart. Then i went to something else. Now i'm just rediscovering Mozart.. i love his symphonies, and piano concertos. i have to listen to the string quartets again. But, there are always pieces i don't like. So that why i think he was better in orchestral composition, because of symphonies 40 and 41. and because a lot of his sonatas are not so amazing. Also a lot of symphonies.... all the symphonies recorded by Ernest Bour are excellent, for sure.
@laurenth7187
@vittorio marano Just here i don't like the them of the allegro. it's so like beethoven, it's nothing striking. This allegro is just a piece of rubbish. This is duty composition, along the rules. I mean that.
