Such a gorgeous interpretation of this movement! I didn't love her first movement as much, but this one is just beautiful. So clean and expressive.

At around 3:25-- measure 24 to 25-- you can hear the seed from which beethoven produced the second movement of his Pathetique sonata!

Yeah, plain as day.

@Bebeto Tandane Jr. Sorry, you are far from the first to notice. :)

@recklesswhisper It was very common for so-called "classical" (including Baroque and Romantic) composers to adopt and adapt themes from each other. One unsolved mystery is whether Beethoven invented the Ode to Joy melody himself or built on a recurring theme in Mozart's K. 222 Misericordias Domini. (Listen at about 1:00, for example, and at a few other minute intervals thereafter.) Of course, a motif or a melodic line is just the start -- everything depends on development, harmonization, and variation.

Sounds like a mashup of the ballade's intro and some Liszt passagework. Good ear

Thought I was the only one who noticed it.

It's beautiful!!!!!! I truli enjoy hear Mrs Uchida. My 7 year old son takes piano lesson and I wish one day he would meet Mrs Uchida to get some inspiration from someone so amazing. Thank you for sharing your music Mrs Uchida.

Uchida playing Mozart is otherworldly. Such a fabulous middle movement to one of his two minor piano sonatas (my favorite of the two). You just gotta love C minor.
